Amazing
Dr. Maru is wonderful. He’s patient and he cares. He walked me through every step, told me exactly what to expect, and explained in detail sleep apnea, cpap therapy, and how the treatment works. He gave me options for testing (at home sleep study kit or overnight at the facility) and treatment (there were several options for treatment but I chose cpap) to ensure that I was comfortable. He advised me that most people take time to get used to using cpap therapy and that people usually go through different masks before finding one that fits. Overall I felt comfortable and informed about starting cpap therapy because of how thoughtful and caring he is. Great doctor.

Dr. Maru is outstanding in the field of Neurology and Sleep Issues. The people who wrote bad reviews about him must have had other issues going on in their lives. I went to Dr. Maru numerous times and he could not have been more thorough. There are so many people out there who think that they know more than the doctor. I do not believe he was ever rude to anyone. I think it was more the patient telling him what he needs to do. I have seen this numerous times. If you ask a question, wait a minute and he will respond in a way that a patient could understand.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maru for over 7 years now. I can proudly say he is one of the best Neurologist practing today. Dr. Maru approaches your treatment from a human level, he listens to your concerns and tailor a treatment plan that will best serve you. Unlike some previous doctors in my past, Dr. Maru has never tried to overly medicate me, nor has he kept me in a endless cycle of medical testing for insurance cash grab. As a matter of fact, Dr. Maru, gave medical advice unrelated to my neurological matters that my primary doctor was utterly wrong about, literally saving my life. In conclusion, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Neal Maru for all of your neurological needs. He will work tirelessly on behalf.

Looking at the previous reviews, I can say that all of the reviews are spot on, even the negative ones. The problem is inconsistency. Initially, during my first visit, he was very knowledgeable. He listened and attempted to get to know me as a patient. I liked that he looked me straight in the eye. At about the 3rd or 4th visit, I began to see a flippant demeanor that I shrugged off as fatigue. I understand that as I am a teacher. Then, during one visit I arrived after having not returned after a while. I didn't want to say I was thinking of changing docs because during a previous visit he sent me to the urgent care in the same building with a migraine in progress. Nonetheless, he grilled me like he was a lawyer and I was a witness in a courtroom! I was outdone and vowed not to come back! My next appointment was with a nurse practitioner. That was the only reason I returned. She is no longer there. So, looks like I have to start looking.

He's terrible. He'll ask a question and if he doesn't like that your answer doesn't align with the (mis)judgement he's already made, he'll basically say you are lying. If you tell him the adderall is too much and that you want to stop taking it, he'll accuse you of abusing a controlled substance!!! Seriously! I said I don't want it, not that I wanted more. He persisted and said that stimulants were the only treatment and I had no choice. Wouldn't complete paperwork from my employer

Excellent patient-oriented service with almost no wait time. I entered the practice and was pleasantly greeted, filled out the paperwork, and was taken back by the doctor's assistant within 5 minutes of my arrival. The doctor's assistant took me back to the doctor's exam room, and Dr. Maru saw me immediately afterwards. He took his time with me to explain my condition and treatment plan in detail. I really appreciated the thoroughness of the

I was referred to Dr Maru for a sleep issue. Had a couple sleep studies at his office and everything as well as could be expected considering I don't like sleeping in any bed other than my own. He took the time to go over my results and answered all my questions. I had to deal with at least 5 different staff at the office and everyone was very friendly.

I have been going to Dr. Maru for 4 years and he has no diagnosis. Does not show any compassion or trust with patient. Very poor knowledge of chronic pain. Does not seem interested in the patient or listens to patient. No sympathy with patient's suffering.

First time patient. Dr. Maru is outstanding. Took lots of time, answered all my questions, discussed my concerns and ordered necessary follow up diagnostic exams. Also responded promptly to some questions I had the next day. His support staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Provided assist when I had difficulty navigating the on-line portal. Would recommend this doctor and his practice without any hesitation.

My mom has been struggling with unexplained, cronic dizziness for 3 months. We have been in and out of doctor's offices non-stop and Dr. Neal Maru was our last hope. He honestly is the worst doctor I've ever experienced and would not recommend him. He is extremely condescending and made my mom feel foolish as she tried to explain her issues. We have found another neurologist and will never be back.
