Why is she in this field?
Went to Sherman Oaks ER last night and had the unfortunate displeasure of being “seen” by Shangari. I won’t even title her a Dr. Because she is the furthest from one I’ve ever seen. This lady is dismissive, rude, condescending and arrogant. She lacks bedside manner, compassion and skill. She did not perform an examination on me. Instead was argumentative and coming off bothered and annoyed. Reading these reviews she clearly hates her job and for the sake of the community should do us all a favor and move on because she makes a hard situation even worse. I was appalled and shocked at her disgusting behavior. I will never go to this ER again and I doubt she stays in practice long because she is not only a terrible “Dr” but you can get a clear sense of what a despicable person she is.

Inconsiderate, Incompetent, unprofessional and Rud
This doctor is by far the worst doctor I've ever seen in the ER. In the waiting room, after almost 5 hours of waiting and a snippy front girl, I came in with major back nec pain and couldn't get comfortable in the wood chairs as I was hunched over trying to find a comfortable position while still talking to other patients in there who could vouch. When I was brought back, I was met with a wicked faced woman who said what's good on with you. I explained I had just gotten in a car accident the week prior and my pain is worsening, I couldn't walk. My back, hips and neck were excruciating. She continued to taunt me and say I was nodding off on drugs in the waiting room (it was 4am fyi but I couldn't sleep from the pain) she called me a drug seeker and didn't listen to anything I said. Not to mention my only son just shot himself, I left obviously w some choice words. Furious and pained. There's more but not enough 'characters' here. The medical board will hear about all these complaints.

I recently had a trip to the Sherman Oaks Hospital’s emergency room and Dr Shangari was the first doctor to see me. I had the same experience as many other people in the reviews. She asked about my symptoms, but cut me off mid-sentence. I did not feel cared for at all, she seemed very cold. She only spoke about a couple sentences after cutting me off, and then left without explaining what tests were going to happen. She was very rushed, seeming like she just wanted to get it over with. Every other nurse who was caring for me was extremely nice and patient, and they were the ones to explain my tests and treatment. I am not one to write reviews, but this Dr left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel like a burden. I sympathize with all of the other people who had the same experiences.

Mental harassment by Dr shangari
I recently visited the emergency department at Sherman Oaks Hospital. While most of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful, my experience with Neha Shangari, DO, was highly disappointing.Ms. Shangari was extremely rude, not only to me but to everyone she interacted with. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, which is particularly upsetting in an emergency setting where patients are already stressed and vulnerable. I have never encountered such behavior from a medical professional in my entire life.Additionally, I felt mentally harassed by this physician. Her conduct caused significant emotional distress during an already difficult time.Given the high standard of care from the rest of the staff, I am baffled as to how Sherman Oaks Hospital continues to work with Ms. Shangari. Her demeanor and approach are completely out of line with the otherwise excellent care provided by the hospital. I hope the administration addresses this issue.

I saw Dr. Shangari at Sherman Oaks on February 27, 2019. I do not like to spread negativity, but I feel I owe it to my community to disclose that I was very disappointed with my treatment by this doctor. The existing reviews on this site are substantially and perhaps entirely correct.

I think that.dr (and I use use to term loosely) is most qualified for a position at mcdonald's fast food chains. However, she by no means should be allowed to interact with the general public. I believe she may very well do duties cleaning tables empting the trash and so forth.

Very rude & unknowledgeable. The only thing she knows is to offer Motrin for every kind of health issues. She refused to provide blood test or ultrasound. She wouldn't even examine the patient and instead offered Motrin for every health problems our family members went for. she's only good at boasting about her graduating medical school. Most likely she graduated medical school by cheating the exams so that doesn't mean she should be considered a doctor. Apply 4 job @ McDonald's Ms. Shangari
