Drive a hour for appointment, that they gave me the day before! Told me they couldn’t take me ! I think the receptionist needs to be more in tune with her patients . Absolutely ignorant! I will be going to a different doctor for sure! RUDE

Excellent Sleep Doctor
I am extremely grateful for the exceptional care my daughter received from Dr. Mushlin and his staff. In just a few months, they were able to diagnose her condition, a process that often takes a decade. This efficiency alone speaks volumes about their expertise. What sets Dr. Mushlin apart is not just the speed of diagnosis but also the genuine care he demonstrated throughout the journey. His attentiveness and understanding made a challenging situation more manageable. I highly recommend Dr. Mushlin and his dedicated team for their expertise and compassionate approach to patient care.

THIS MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU
Telehealth
I never leave reviews of anything but Dr. Mushlin is so awful I had to. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy and have had no help from him or his staff. He is late to every appointment because he overbooks himself and does not care about his patients at all. Even after telling him I am suicidal and crying through my appointments the man still does nothing. He tried to refer me to another doctor who only takes referrals and it's been 3 weeks and I still can't get an appointment. I have never in my life experienced care this bad and I've had a lot of awful doctors. Whatever you do FIND SOMEONE ELSE

Not as good as I thought
I initially came in for a sleep apnea test and was prescribed a CPAP machine. So far, so good. After a little over a year, the doctor decided to go off on some tangents. I was sent to a Rheumatologist and was made to believe it was urgent. The doctor appeared to be very surprised that I had a rushed appointment. Nothing was wrong. I was prescribed Trellegy when I didn't have any issues or symptoms and wasn't told why. Last fall I realized I was having breathing problems and I stopped the Trellegy. I let the office know and never heard back. I was told he was going to find out why my lungs had been inflamed after another doctor had taken care of the issue. I mentioned that I thought I had covid and he ignored what I said. A year later I asked him if he figured out why my lungs had been inflamed and he asked me if I had covid with a smirk on his face. Needless to say, I fired Doctor Mushlin and found a new and much better doctor. My new doctor said I don't need medicine.

Great
Saw Lizzy and Dr Mushlin today for first time. Extremely impressed with their overall office and staff. Lizzy started my visit off with Dr Mushlin joining her. They work very well together and are very thorough. Came here after seeing other Dr's that really didn't help. I have full faith that I came to the right place. They are very attentive and listen to the patient. They have ordered many tests to try to see what's happening. I feel like they care about you as a person, I am in good hands.

Excellent Clinician!
Referred by my PCP to Dr. Mushlin. They had no openings for new pts. for weeks. However, noting my 'distress-difficulty breathing', his staff member, put me on hold and informed him. I was seen that day- treated urgently. Additional studies ordered, diagnosed and rx initiated. 'I can breathe!' He has followed up, calling me on several occasions. I am extremely grateful for referral to this professional practice where I am receiving compassionate care. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so. He is the exception!

Avoid this practice
The practice is very disorganized, Dr. Mushlin does not spend more than couple minutes in best cases with the patient! He doesn't listen to the patients to understand what's going on. He just want to put you on therapy.

Stellar Care
Dr. Neil Mushlin and his team at Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists are an incredible team of professional, exceptionally intelligent, and extremely caring medical experts. Dr. Mushlin has been treating me through covid, covid pneumonia, pneumonia, and long covid. My case has been very complicated dealing with a lot of unknowns and identifying underlying issues I never knew I had. Dr. Mushlin has been there every step along the way providing stellar care and attention even in the face of countless obstacles. Dr. Mushlin came extremely highly recommended to me by three other doctors, and my experience has confirmed that he’s absolutely one of the best pulmonologists in the area and beyond. The level of care provided is stellar, and I’m truly lucky to be under the care of such a great doctor and his amazing team.

Great follow up.
I am a new patient and was caught off guard when Dr Mushlin called me on a Saturday following a test I had processed that Friday. Most Dr's would have waited for my next appointment to give me the results or relied on my primary physician to get the results but he called me on a Saturday - very impressive. I later found out that he on vacation at the time. My neighbor was looking for a new Dr. and after this event I highly recommended Dr. Mushlin and gave him one of the DR's business cards.

I have been seeing Dr. Mushlin for about 10 years for a sleep disorder. He is a very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and caring doctor. During my first visit, he really took the time to listen to me and knew right away what was going on. He was very thorough and, after a few sleep study tests, gave me an official diagnosis. He found a treatment plan that works for me through trial-and-error and he continues to successfully treat me. The office staff has always been very caring and professional as well. I will continue to see him for as long as he practices. I highly recommend him.

Highly recommend
I had a chronic cough, over 7 weeks (from Covid), and my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Mushlin. He was booked over two months out, but his staff was so sympathetic to my situation, they booked me virtually for next day!. Dr. Mushlin was able to get me on the right medications and I saw improvement within a matter of days. I know there are people in worse conditions than me, but when you have uncontrollable cough for 7 weeks, words cannot express how appreciative I am to finally stop coughing! I have had multiple meetings with Dr. Mushlin and can tell you he is truly passionate and sympathetic about his patients! 5 stars all the way!!!

Keeps Up with Treatments
My wife and I are very impressed with Dr. Mushlin. In the beginning we weren't sure as he ordered test after test, but only to get a bigger picture of my wife's general health and, from a pulmonology perspective, well-being. I believe he keeps current on treatments and pulmonology research and is quick to suggest new treatments when necessary. My wife began using a new nebulizer a few days ago and is already noticing a big difference for the better. He also has a good personality, he does not come off as pompous and is down to earth. We also like his new nurse practitioner Star. She is personable and also cares about her patients.

This is my second review regarding Dr. Neil Mushlin because i cannot contain my praise. Once again, Dr. Mushlin has called me on a Saturday to inform me of an issue with my lungs and has prescribed medication to solve it. I have every confidence in the world that he is prescibing the right course of action. After all, he gave me back my life about 7 months ago when, again, he called me on a Saturday to tell me that I was highly anemic. No other doctor bothered to do a thorough review of all my symptoms. I am a new person with energy - i go to the gym and babysit my 16 month old granddaughter all without feeling breathless. In addition to my treatment, he recommended a nebulizer and a respiratory vest and these are treatments, though time consuming, have really made a big difference. I love having Dr. Mushlin as my doctor and I love the people in his practice at all offices. THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS and this is what you want in a medical practice.

I received calls from Dr. Mushlin while he was on vacation (For the 1st time in 2 years) and on a weekend to give me test results. He is a very dedicated doctor who seems to truly care about his patients and takes the time to find the best way to help and treat them. I am so very appreciative.

The office is so inept, disorganized, and unprofessional. I showed up 10 min early and waited one hour and still wasn’t seen. When I requested a refund, they didn’t even try to fix the situation and just gave me my money back. Also, during a study, I had to make three different appts because they kept renting out the device meant for me and yet made me sit in a room and wait for 45 min. Stay away.

Should be shut down – Apr 08, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Mushlin?
For a couple of years, I had been working with a pulmonologist @ Penn Medicine regarding my sleep apnea and daytime fatigue. During one of my visits, he stated that I need to get use to my fatigue as this would be considered “my new normal”. After hearing this, I decided to immediately change doctors. My PCP referred me to Dr. Mushlin @ Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists. Dr. Mushlin and his staff have been wonderful to work with. As my condition appears to be elusive, Dr. Mushlin has gone above and beyond in attempts to resolve it, much more than the Penn doctor. His concern for me is genuine and a priority. Also, his staff has been attentive to my needs. Recently, I had two problems, one regarding my medical supply firm and the other working with my prescription insurance company in obtaining a unique medication. Kudos to both Monica and Erin, respectively, in providing the help that I needed to resolve both concerns! I would highly recommend Advocare and Dr. Mushlin.
