Dr. Alves is Awesome, the office is feckless
Dr. Alves is extremely knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner. He communicates clearly and honestly. He’s the best. There are members of the office staff that are woefully incompetent and feckless that I’m considering finding another doctor. They can’t seem to navigate getting prior authorizations accomplished in an acceptable amount of time. These people would fail at pouring a glass of water. The stress and anxiety they cause whenever they need to be engaged for the simplest task is unacceptable. They are truly feckless and incompetent. How the Sylvester Cancer Center at University of Miami doesn’t terminate these people immediately is mind boggling.

Dr. Alves saved my life in 2009. After having a bone marrow biopsy that told my story. I was diagnosed with 2 rare blood diseases. Dr. Alves and I work together to keep me alive. I advise anyone who needs a hemotologist oncologist, go to Dr. Alves

If I could, I would leave ZERO stars. my daughter was with Dr. Alves for one year. He was always painfully dismissive (I truly thought that there was something wrong with me or my daughter until I read another review). He ALWAYS tells us that she doesn't have this or that but never tells us what it is or what it might be, he just tells us to come back in 1-4 months. There is no treatment lined up and she is getting worse! A real nightmare if you are sick and are looking for a diagnosis!

If I could, I would leave ZERO stars. I was with Dr. Alves for YEARS. He was always friendly but painfully dismissive. Because of his oversight I almost died; literally. He misdiagnosed me and then fired me as a patient the second he could. WATCH OUT!

Dr. Alves saved my life after being diagnosed with 2 rare blood diseases. Dr. Alves went to the Federal Government on my behalf to get a treatment approved for me. So far I am in my second year of Soloris treatments and doing extreamley well. I first thank God for connecting us and Dr. Alves second, and that he remains as connected as he is. you are the best Dr. Alves
