Dr. Nicholas Angelastro, DO

Office never busy. 1st assistant abruptly left. Current assistant very nice and he's lucky to have her. I saw him a few times and didn't always agree with him about his analysis and when I went to the specialists they told me the opposite of what he said. One day I asked for my chart notes and was horrifed at the manner he wrote about me because I had questioned some very serious health issues I had going on, very condescending and also incoherent sentences. I called and complained and he said he saw nothing wrong with this and he was puzzled as to why I was so emotional. Gaslighting by a Dr. is not what I need. Make sure you ask for a copy of your chart notes, you may be quite surprised about you think you information are entrusting this Dr. to and what he is ACTUALLY writing.

Dr. Angelastro has been my doctor for years and has taken good care of my health. If he doesn't know the answer to a specific question, he will find out immediately and discuss it with me. I highly recommend him. Unfortunately, his moving farther south has made it very difficult for my commute and I have to say "Good-Bye".

My experience was great. Dr Angelastro is not only knowledgeable and professional, he is an effective communicator. He goes out of his way to make a patient feel at ease and explains things in a way that is thorough and easy to understand. It is very refreshing.

Dr Angelastro took the time with me to truly understand my pre-existing conditions and helped answer every question I had about my current health. Not only is he knowledgeable, he explains everything in a way that makes it easy to understand. He has true concern for his patients and their best interest! He also has a phenomenal staff! Dr. Angelastro is a "no-nonsense" type of doctor. He takes his time and actually listens you! He also discovered an anomaly that other physicians had missed which led to the early discovery of a VERY rare cancer of the blood & bone marrow. He then referred me to an oncologist & hematologist who have been treating me, adding many years to my life.!!! My entire family are patients of his now and they are all 100% satisfied too!

Went in with high blood pressure, which he was “treating”, and a sore throat. Told him I was having difficulty breathing. Never checked my heart or lungs. Came back two days later at his request to check my blood pressure cuff with his. Mentioned I was still having chest pain and difficulty breathing. Asked why I was not checked last time I was there. He came waddling out of his office yelling “I have been listening to you yapping and you need to get out of my office.” Danger to patients!

I was pleased with the speed in which I got an appointment and he also fit me in for an issue I had right away. The ladies on his staff are respectful, considerate and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Joanie.

I just recently relocated to Sarasota,Fl from the Florida Keys and needed to find a PCP locally. I am so happy that my family chose Dr. Angelastro. This physician brings many years of emergency room experience to his patients. Dr. Angelastro places the patient at ease immediately and is very thorough. This office is very user friendly.

He took the time to listen to my concerns and answered my questions. I didn't feel rushed, which is very important to me. He's also very pleasant to talk with and genuinely cares about his patients.
