Dr. Nicholas Crews, MD

I went to the ER in February and was referred to Dr. Crews. He spent maybe 12 minutes rushing me through my concerns. I felt like he was not interested, rushing & very dismissive. I was in pain & left in tears. Once I got to meet with a surgeon he asked why I'd not had an endoscopy test and asked if I wanted to go back to the GI or be treated by him. I'd never recommend Dr. Crews to anyone.

He did not follow up after a liver ultra sound, I had to ask for results and even then his office sent a chart I could not understand. I had to ask again for explanation. Also in my chart dr. Cruz or his staff put unflatring info into my chart before my test insuitating alcohol was heavily involved (which wasn't and he was told so). He made me feel rushed and hurried in dr. Appointment.

I visited the Huntersville office this past week and Dr. Crews and the office staff were over the top. There is nothing I could have asked more. They are great and interactive with their patients.

I went to the ER with intense chest/abdominal pain and after a series of tests, it was thought to be GI issues. Dr Crews talked with me on the phone for an hour asking questions and really listening to me as I talked through my symptoms. He is by far the most attentive doctor that I have had.

I recently had an office visit with Dr. Crews for abdominal pain. This was hands down the best office visit I have ever had. Dr. Crews was engaging and really cared to learn more about my symptoms. All staff were pleasant and welcoming. I have full confidence in Dr. Crews to perform my colonoscopy to determine the cause of my pain.

i was referred to him by my last gastro and had to wait 3 months to be seen... his staff and himself seemed very incompetent when it came to treating patients. he never responds to messages, his makes his assistant Stacey do it, which doesn't seem like what a doctor should do. if im messaging the doctor personally, i expect a response back from the DOCTOR. he never changed my medications when i stated that they have not been helping me at all; all he would say was "let's keep you on it for another couple weeks and see if there's any improvements." when youre suffering in pain daily, waiting a couple weeks for medication that hasn't worked isn't going to help a patient. i recently had procedures done and i still haven't received my biopsy results; called in the office and was sent straight to his assistant's voicemail. there is a large lack on communication between doctor and patient and it feels like he doesn't care about me as a patient. i regret having waited months for this service.

I needed to be seen by an MD and the first available was DR Crews I found Dr. Crews to be extremely professional and engaging and thorough in his discovery discussion. He asked me many questions to zero in during the diagnostic process. He took his time with me and He explained his diagnosis , what helped him determine his diagnosis and several courses of action that we could pursue to manage and resolve my issues. My experience could not have more polar opposite than that below. I have always been one to “form my own opinions” rather than be led to one . I am so glad I did not let this review below dissuade me from seeing Dr Crews. I feel very confident in his care and he really was a very pleasant and lovely man. I have also seen Dr Moore and Dr Toussaint at this group in the past at various locations for several procedures and I have to say each experience with the Doctors ,nurses and office staff have always been exceptional and professional Thank you

I was referred to Dr. Crews by my primary care provider. The referral was sent by them and their office called me to set up my appointment. My referral was for a thrombosed hemorrhoid. I waited a week from the date of the referral until the actual appointment. Yesterday (07/28/2020) I had my appointment. I have been in EXTREME pain for over 2 weeks waiting for this appointment. Dr. Crews came into the room, read something in my file and basically said "We can't help you, you need to go to the ER". Never did an exam, NOTHING. It took the nurse longer to take my blood pressure than Dr. Crews spent with me. He said something along the lines of we don't do procedures this late in the day. YOUR OFFICE SCHEDULED me for this time of day. I have seen veterinarians treat their patients with more respect and dignity that I received from this practice.

My visit was very pleasant and a good experience for my first time. I will recommend Dr. Crews to friends and family.
