Dr. Nicholas Kondelis, MD

I have been with Dr. Kondelis many years and he is a very thorough and caring person. He always goes that extra mile to ensure that you are getting the best care possible. I highly recommend him.

I have been suffering with chronic pain for years. I was hoping to get some relief as it interferes with my everyday life. Dr. Kondelis failed to treat my pain. He did not refill my medication, he did not call me back concerning my MRI results, and no one returned my calls when I try to make an appointment. He took my money, but really didn’t do anything to help me. I do not recommend this doctor. In my opinion Dr. Kondelis has no compassion for his patients.

Dr. Kondelis is very smart and beyond certified in his work. I have a herniated disc in my L3/4 L5/S1 and he’s been so helpful with taking away the pain and pushing my body to heal as far is it can go. He’s so helpful and offers great insight when it comes to offering surgeons and who he’s trusting to let operate on him. Dr. Kondelis treats you like if you were his blood related family member. His staff is amazing and I will always recommend him.

Dr. Kondelis takes the time to explain and answer questions you have during visits and over the phone. I find him to be a nice doctor. He does steroid injections very quickly. However, he didn't ask me if I was ready before he began, which I would have appreciated, especially for the first injection when I didn't know what to expect. The first time I was barely sedated, and I had a panic attack after the second injection because of the pain. However, he cared for me during the panic attack by checking in in between other patients, and he brought me a cold towel, ice, and cookies to help with my anxiety. Overall he is a good doctor who wants his patients to get better.

Dr. Kondelis has far exceeded all of my expectations. Unfortunately, I’ve had multiple procedures and surgeries to relieve my lower back, legs, groin and hip pain. After these surgeries/procedures with my former surgeons and specialists, I was still experiencing severe and debilitating pain. From day one with Dr. Kondelis and his team, I knew things would be different. Dr. Kondelis spent more time with me during my first appointment than all my previous doctors had combined. Dr. Kondelis’s care and attention to detail is second to none. If it weren’t for Dr. Kondelis and his amazing team, I wouldn’t be on track to getting my life back to normal. I highly recommend Dr. Kondelis and his team for any and all of your pain management needs.

I have seen 5 pain doctors in the last 15 years and Dr Kondelis is by far the best! I have CPS and severe lumbar spine issues. On my first visit he spent a lot of time with me and devised a plan to get my pain under control. He's very compassionate and caring. His office and staff are welcoming. Make an appointment, you'll be glad you did.

I'm a 62 year old man who has had terrible lower back pain for years. I've had a surgery, injections and physical therapy. They all helped, but the pain always comes back. Lately, I've been having huge back pain again and I had practically given up, until I was referred to Dr Kondelis at Advanced Pain Consultants in Oak Brook. I was seen quickly, the Dr reviewed my MRI, assessed my overall situation, and recommended a Lumbar Transforaminal Epidural Steroid Injection (I had them write it down in case this actually worked). It's now been a few days since the injection and my pain level has been reduced big time. I'm not pain free, but I'm very very close to pain free. I am kinda in shock at how good I am feeling. I'm so grateful. Do yourself a favor and go there if you have severe pain.

Dr. Kondelis goes that extra mile for his patients when their overall well being is concern. He helped petition BCBS by each of us submitting in writing reasons we for requesting additional migraine treatments outside the normal frequency of what is allowed due to my chronic situation. And much to my surprise the insurance company accepted our request. I can't thank him enough for supporting me in that endeavor as well as helping me to continue managing my back and spinal pain.

Out of 20 years seeing pain specialists, Dr.Kondelis last 5 years seem to give me my decision making back to a point. He gave his professional opinion,and what he thought he could and couldn't do in an honest, no punches pulled. But when I felt it wasn't working we both agreed no more and search elsewhere. Till the point that my condition and point of damage I know will not get any better,so he did the best to give me agreed quality of life to work with.Now its political.I recommend him 1000%

Dr Kondelis is by far the best doctor I have ever had. I was sick at age 16 and now I'm 47 so I have had my share of doctors. Doctor K is compassionate, smart, easy to talk to and so knowledgeable in what he does in medicine. I would 100% recommend this doctor to anyone who is in pain and needs an excellent doctor. I have been with his pain clinic for years and I would not trade my doctor for anyone else on earth. Thank you Doctor K for all you have done for me.

Horrible doctor his drug test showed things I've never taken in my life and he never checked to see if my 20 other meds being mixed could give false positives after other doctors vouched for me. Very cold towards me said to me in front of my child I have to be some type of speed freak from the results of my drug test and you can clearly tell I don't do drugs as such. Left me to go through withdrawals from a 100mg fentanyl patch and the 150 norco a month I'm on for my spinal stroke pain and other

Very careing,Doctor Kondalis is the 1st doctor to actually fight with me through this battle against Reflex Sympathic Dystrophy. He has done everything he could to help me find relief. I've been fighting for 11yrs and i am so very thankful i found him. He listens to concerns and explains everything in depth. And has always been available for immediate issue's.Wonderful doctor. Highly reccomend!

For me he is one awesome Doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who needed this type of care. Now that I live in Florida I miss him greatly
