I could not ask for a better Dr. and medical team to treat and oversee my families and my medical care. I will not go to another Dr.! This Dr. has saved my life and vision (in his office) after U of M could not even with me being inpatient in the hospital,

Dr. Orow Fined & put on Probation by the State
Until recently I was a patient of Dr. Orow's for over 7 years. He used to be very reliable & caring but he now has an erratic schedule that means an over-reliance on other staff members. His priorities seem to have changed from excellent patient care to just generating income. The long-time disorganized office manager hires family members, allows some staff to get away with not doing their jobs while she uses & abuses other staff who go above and beyond trying to help patients. Dr. Orow drastically increased the number of his patients by buying the practices of other retiring doctors. So this in turn put additional stresses on an already chaotic office. They have had a broken phone system for over a year too. In November of 2023 the State of MI Board of Professional Licensing reported that it had fined Dr. Orow and put him on probation for several reasons including Incompetence & Negligence-Impaired Conduct. This should be very troubling to every patient of his.

Would not recommend
I'm one of the rare ones that actually got to see Dr. Orow a couple of times before it was his NP taking all appointments. If you enjoy sitting in the waiting room for a long time, then also sitting alone in an exam room for a long time, then this is the office for you. I've left for a new Dr. and yet this one still keeps calling me to make appointments, even though I told them I got a new one. Good luck ever getting them to answer the phone, as well.

Is he real or Memorex?
Been stuck with Orow since my dr retired 4 years ago. And have yet to see him. Most visits just make you pee in a cup and get your next appointment card. It is also 50/50 that you will get your prescriptions at all.

Horrible.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This office is a complete joke. Dr Orow could care less about his patients because he never comes to work. How is it Dr Orow can prescribe controlled medications and he is never there? The only thing that is great about this circus is the nurses that work in the back. They are like kind and very overworked. I finally found a real Dr, one who is actually at every appointment. The office manager always looks like she hates life and would rather be fishing. Let’s not talk about getting your prescriptions on time cause that’s a complete horror scene. This office should be reported for negligence on the Dr’s part. Do not ever become a patient here. I wouldn’t let them treat my goldfish. Horrible.

Poor Staff
I use to love Dr. Orow, now he's never in office, you can't get phone calls returned as someone else has said you get billed for a telehealth visit that never happed. I will be looking for a new Dr. as I can no longer wait for appts that get cancelled and prescriptions that don't get filled. I truly hope they get their office straightened around. Dr. Orow was a great Dr. his staff not so much

Find another doctor
Once again, an appointment was made with Dr. Orow, only to get there and be sitting in the room waiting and have his nurse practitioner come instead. Where is Dr. Orow? Why does he assume we want to see his NP instead???? It is a very sad situation. Find another doctor, we are.

Terrible place. He should not be allowed to practice. They never return phone calls. You get put on hold every time you call. They forget about filling prescriptions, it happened to me 3 times. And the office Manager is the rudest person I've ever met.

This Dr. should not be allowed to practice. His office totally abuses patients mentally and physically..Patients are forced to use there lab, are accused of bad behavior, not allowed to see results, or get an independent lab involved. When having a Telehealth Visit, called by receptionist, put on hold for 35 min. Told they will call back, never happens, then billed for visit. Found new real, doctor.

Youll never see Dr Orow, his NP only talks about himself and his ailments. The staff says they will "make a note" or make sure your prescriptions are sent but it never happens. I used to love this practice but it is AWFUL ever since Dr. Orow is not around.

I have been going there for a few years now. The turnover is high. I may have only seen Dr Orow twice, maybe. I have asked about some serious ailments that I've had and want to have them checked. The answer I got, "We will look at that next year."

First and foremost, Dr. Orow and His Team Are Professionals! I have been a patient of Dr. Orows’ for a few years, a patient that has been through a lot and I will say this: Dr. Orow is a Brillant Dr. and For Dr. Orow to be so well liked, has a lot to do with his team, whom I am grateful for, ensuring that my appointments and medicines are always taken care of. To be working right now, in my eyes, should tell you that THEY ARE ALL COMPASSIONATE to their patients needs, putting their own health in jeopardy. Thank You All and Dr. Orow ; have a Happy Thanksgiving, A Very Merry CHRISTmas And a Blessed NewYear.

A Thankful Patient – Nov 25, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Orow?
The only way this place could be worse is if they actually killed me. I went in very sick. They treated me horribly. Their communication was nonexistent. The staff acts like patients annoy them. The phlebotomist that took my blood had a poor attitude. I tried explaining I hadn’t been keeping anything down for quite a while and I’m very dehydrated but she kept trying to fill tubes with blood. Of course she blew my vein, said nothing (scared the s**t out of me since I’d never experienced that) and walked out. I called daily for weeks for results and no one had time to talk to me or explain anything. It’s been 2 years since my visit and I still don’t have any idea what was wrong with me. I took my bloodwork (was in app) to my sister, a nurse, for advice since I could hardly get out of bed. Now, years later, they’ve decided to send me a bill for several hundred dollars for services. All invoices were paid when received 2 years ago. I recommend DIY medical care over this place.
