Valentine’s Day Heart surgery
Dr Shea performed mitral valve replacement for me on Feb 14th, 2024. I was diagnosed with endocarditis and required immediate surgery. I am extremely lucky I had Dr Shea as my surgeon and am eternally grateful for him and the entire team at Morristown hospital.

Review of patient at Morristown Memorial
Never met the surgeon but I read his op note. My mother had extensive surgery done at Morristown Memorial Hospital. After reading the op note and all that was done, this man is no short of a Super Hero. My mother was unfortunate to need this physicians assistance, but what this Surgeon did it was beyond the call of duty.

Saved my life
In the midst of a chaotic and complicated, evolving medical crisis, Dr Shea was confident and a calming force whenever he walked into the room. He dealt with a borage of questions from my family, validating concern and respectfully taking charge of my case. With multiple surgeries required, he also made a pivotal decision to delay the heart surgery (after everyone was all prepped) to give me a few days to get my strength. I believe this in addition to his superior surgical skills saved my life and I will always be grateful.

Very Satisfied
Dr. Shea treated me at Morristown Hospital on Feb. 28th 2024. I needed a triple bypass with a valve replacement. I came into the ER as an emergency on Sunday and had my surgery on Wed. Dr. Shea explained everything to me and my family and addressed all our questions and concerns. It's been about 6 weeks since my surgery and I feel like a new Man. If you are looking for a heart surgeon, Dr. Shea is your doctor.
