Unpleasant demeanor and only a cursory interest in determining what care he might provide. I have a persistent and increasing intermittent ear/throat pain, he did a physical examination of ear/throat with a scope, finding nothing in his opinion in those regions causing the pain. Ordered a CT scan that showed at least some potential sources of referred ear pain, he dismissed those and suggested the pain is neuralgia of unknown etiology to be referred to a neurologist. It's as if any other part of my body that might affect my ear/throat he has no knowledge of, and no ability from which to extrapolate any advice or plan of care. American medical care is unreasonably siloed into specialities as if there is no whole body, only a series of separate, unrelated parts, and he takes this defect in care as a hallmark of his practice, apparently.

I saw this dr for very painful lumps on my neck. He told me he felt nothing, I said that was odd because I could feel them and my pcp could feel them....And they hurt to the point of making me groan when I lay down and keep me awake hours because of the intensity. When I told him that, he looked at me and said how funny, you don’t seem much like a drug seeker. I was so stunned I made no comment and had I had the presence of mind I would have ended the appt right then. I Had asked nothing of him and yet he was enough of a jerk to judge me My pcp ordered an ultrasound when he felt the bumps and it gwas done shortly after seeing this person. Interestingly enough it shows all 3 of the non-existent bumps.

Wasn't caring whatsoever and seemed like it was a chore to see me. Felt as though he wasn't taking my medical needs seriously, and was generally unpleasant the day I visited him.

If I could put zero stars, I would. We've had surgery scheduled for several months, only to have him refuse to do it an hour before. We told him the site had changed. We offered to come in and let him re-evaluate. We offered to send pictures. He told us none of that was necessary. After great trauma and expense getting here, he very indifferently told us he would not do it. Exactly what we had tried to avoid! Take your business and your money somewhere else!

The office fit me into the schedule in one day after an ER visit. Dr Benton was kind, thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
