My last visit was in Urology with Dr. Ortiz who I have been seeing for approximately 4 years. He has always been very courteous, informative and inclusive in the decisions made regarding my health.

Uncaring and negligent
Not recommended. My father reported his issues repeatedly to Dr. Ortiz and his staff. After being ignored despite multiple calls, office visits and ER visits, he was hospitalized for 3 weeks with a UTI that spread to his blood. This could have been prevented if Dr. Ortiz and staff actually listened and cared. Excuses given that Dr. Ortiz is responsible for many patients and my father was 'not his only patient.' NO patient or family should EVER be told this and it is not an excuse for poor care. Furthermore, Dr. Ortiz's manner is uncaring and condescending. He and his staff made a bad situation worse and endangered my father's life.

Poor care and poor bedside manner
My father was a patient of Dr. Ortiz. His reports of issues were repeatedly ignored and after multiple office visits, calls and ER visits, he ended up hospitalized for a UTI that spread to his bloodstream. Excuses given that Ortiz 'has many patients' and my father was 'not his only patient.' NO patient or family should ever be told this! Having a lot of patients and responsibilities is NOT an excuse for poor care. Ortiz's manner is uncaring and condescending, and he doesn't seem to realize his job is literally to CARE for patients. He and his staff literally made a bad situation even worse.

Dr. Ortiz is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and professional, sensitive to a patient's sense of modesty, down to earth, and a great communicator. I have seen Dr. Ortiz twice and once on an online seminar. He answered all of my numerous questions and I am actually looking forward to my next appointment! I have the utmost respect for, and trust in, him. I was also quite impressed with his online seminar and highly recommend it to his other patients.
