I had an appointment for yesterday and when I arrived was told by the front desk she will not see me with no explanation with a confirmed appointment and time. I was told to wait for the business manager and waited for 30 minutes with no visit. I left and have been going to Northwestern Medicine since 2013. I arrive home and there is a message on my answering machine stating I am a new patient and was coded by mistake and to reschedule. Not happening. She doesn't value my time nor will she value my money.

Cannot reco. Horrible communicator. Way too busy!
Horrible. Followed up as she requested. Her STAFF does not read what you wrote, misinforms doctor. Dr. belittles you. All because she failed to READ my portal message which she ASKED me to send. HORRIBLE doctor. Worst I’ve had at NW in years. NW get it together!

Excellent Doctor
Prior to my first appointment I could tell she did a thorough review of my medical record. I didn’t have to repeat things that I’ve told doctors a million times or catch her up on the last 20 years of health information. She knows what she is talking about and is clearly very intelligent, but explains things in an understandable way.

Can't Recommend
Dr. Kansas took time with me. However, it was not time well spent. She told me about a couple of issues that concerned her and therefore made me concerned. However after I consulted a specialist about one and had a diagnostic test for the other, it turned out there was nothing wrong. She was way off base on one issue and the other turned out to be a non-issue as well. She basically scared me for no reason. I can't recommend Dr. Kansal.

Dr. Kanasl is the absolute best doctor I have ever seen in my life! She is understanding, explains things clearly (which has always been my biggest complaint about doctors) and is KIND! I try to send all of my friends to Dr. Kansal because of the quality of care and my friends are always extremely grateful to have gotten in to see Dr. Kansal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’ve had a lot of doctors and she is by far my favorite. She is super smart. She always shares information about recent research. She is thorough and makes sure she orders any tests available to check everything. She talks with my specialists and helped them uncover issues that other doctors had missed for years. She communicates in a way that is easy to understand. She is very collaborative. She thinks aloud when making decisions and gives me options to choose whenever possible. She encourages alternative medical options like therapy, hypnosis, acupuncture and Reiki. She answers messages promptly and encourages me to keep in touch with her between appointments. I feel like she really cares about me. She takes time to talk about my work, family, etc. and how they may impact my health. She even suggested ways she could communicate with my job to help me get accommodations for my health. I have no idea what state I’d be in, or if I’d even be alive, if I hadn‘t met Dr. Kansal.

I have seen Dr. Kansal for various conditions for the past 3 years and think she is excellent. She spends plenty of time with me and thoroughly discusses what ever I am seeing her for during the appointment. I also get feedback very quickly on the Portal at NWFF. Dr. Kansal is very nice to me and I have recommended others to her. The most important thing for me is to get feedback as quickly as possible, Dr. Kansal reviews findings quickly from the lab, xray department, etc.

DR. N. KANSAL READ MY XRAY WRONG. GAVE THE WRONG DIAGNOSIS. TOLD HER ASSISTANT SHE WOULD NOT TALK TO ME. WENT TO ANOTHER DOCTOR AT NORTHWESTERN. I CAME TO HIS OFFICE IN A WHEEL CHAIR AND WALKED OUT. I WAS IN PAIN FOR WEEKS BECAUSE DR. KANSAL DID NOT READ THE XRAY CORRECTLY

Dr. Kansal is punctual, showing respect for her patients and their time; not common among doctors in my experience. She listens and is personable. She responds very quickly to emails on Northwestern's "my chart." I am very pleased with her and her service.

I will not see Dr. Kansal again. She is rude and will not relate to you as a person or see the human side of things, you are strictly a number. The fact that she has so many openings should have been a sign. Do not use this provider.

I recently met with Nidhi Kansal at Northwestern for the pressure in my chest and for my thinning hair. Once Nidhi entered in the patient room, she did not greet, no-introduction, blank face and came up with a straight question - "why we are meeting today". I also felt that she was condescending. She didn't know the side effects of medicine she was prescribing and looked at internet. To the Pharmacy, she refused to change the dose and if the patient can break the pill to take 1/4th - Uncommon.
