Dr. Hsu is a very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and extremely confident and proficient surgeon. He gave me every possible scenario of my procedure. I was in so very much pain prior to surgery that it cost me the ease of everyday living! Post surgery was a breeze!! Have you ever heard of no pain after surgery? I experienced absolutely NO PAIN and I am 2 weeks post op as of today. He is an accomplished surgeon and an extremely kind person! I would recommend Dr. Hsu for ANY surgery.

I have congenital club foot. While I had multiple surgeries to correct this defect as a child, I still have residual issues that, unfortunately, worsened this past year. I sought advice from a pediatric orthopedic surgeon as to whom I should contact. He highly recommended Dr. Hsu. Dr Hsu is a wonderful doctor. He takes the time to listen to his patients, and works together with the patient to formulate a plan of care. While my orthopedic needs are complex, Dr Hsu was able to formulate a plan of surgery to help straighten my forefoot. My surgery was 3 weeks ago. Dr. Hsu called me the day after the surgery to find out how I was recovering. As extensive as the surgery was, I only needed acetaminophen for my post operative pain. His technical expertise, in combination with his bedside manner, makes him an exceptional doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Hsu and his team have been incredible. I had a severe injury that required surgery and post op care. Throughout the whole process I have felt supported. The whole office works like clock work! Definitely recommend.

Dr. Hsu performed surgery on my ankle. We met several times before and after surgery. Communications is extremely important for me and Dr. Hsu delivered there. He thoroughly went over all of the processes and the procedures to eliminate any misunderstandings. The surgery went well and I am in the healing stages. I injured my toe & now I have a dislocation. I knew that I needed surgery to correct it even before going to see Dr Hsu, He advised surgery because I will get Arthritis in the future. So I am waiting for a surg date. I find Dr Hsu a very smart surgeon.

I seriously fractured my Tibia Fibula and ankle bones from a Hockey fall Dr Hsu was amazing Couldn't ask for anything better from a Surgeon He was very informative, caring and kind. Listened well to all my concerns The surgery was pretty extensive involving Rods pins plates. I went to Dr. Hsu for an ankle sprain that had been treated by another physician initially. I had anxiety about coming to a new doctor after a negative experience with another who was dismissive and rude. I had lowered my expectations and just wanted quick resolve to mobility and pain. Dr. Hsu is calm, diligent, and personable. He focused on my injury and gave me clear information as to options for my treatment. I felt comfortable to ask questions (despite my prior situation and anxiety) and most importantly felt heard. I have seen other orthopedic specialists for fractures, acl tears, and such. Dr. Hsu is a standout professional. The only drawback was that it took a while to get in to see him.

I saw Dr. Hsu after a complex ankle fracture. Dr. Hsu took the time to address each and every component of this complex fracture during surgery. Upon discharge, he was very thorough and detailed oriented. After surgery, when I had few questions and concerns, he immediately provided us the emergency appointments and addressed each and every concern that we had. Dr. Hsu followed up my post-surgery care and the fact that I can walk now is a miracle that he took such excellent care of me. Having the right surgeon means a whole lot when it comes to the success of the surgery and life after rehab. Dr. Hsu is very thorough, extremely patient, detailed oriented and a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon. He is truly an asset to Johns Hopkins Orthopedics and the very best ankle specialist!
