Dr. Patel always wants to know how you are doing and how the various treatments are making you feel. He does not rush his appointments with you and always takes as much time as needed to answer concerns or question's. I am so glad that I have him as my Doctor for this part of my treatment.

Cancer treatment is the scariest thing I've faced. There were times I believed the challenges were greater than I could stand. Dr. Patel engaged in my treatment as invested as my family. He took time to meet and talk with my family members and encouraged my connections with my support systems. He also gave me the hard facts when I needed them. I had a life threatening saddle pulmonary embolism. While I had excellent care in the hospital I felt uncomfortably uneasy about my future. When I came under Dr. Patel's care, his manner, intelligence and gift for helping me understand things calmed my unease and fears. I am grateful to him and grateful for him. So much so that when my brother recently developed symptoms that called for the care of a hematologist and were potentially life threatening, I told him how grateful I am for Dr. Patel. He got an appointment with Dr. Patel and Dr. Patel is now guiding him through a treatment process for an unusual type of blood cancer. My brother's experience of Dr. Patel is just like mine.
