Thorough and patient
Both my mother in law and I are relatively new patients of Dr. H. I take my mother in law to all of her appointments. Dr. H is thorough, knowledgeable, patient and kind, and we feel lucky to be her patients.

Pleasantly surprised
Telehealth
Since my pcp at UCLA Health was out on maternity leave, I was pleasantly surprised to get such a quick reply to my text message Wed. afternoon. I got an appt. with Dr. Harutyunyan at 9 a.m. Fri. I was able to do a video appt. due to Covid, & since they had my med records & I was too sick to drive. Dr. H. was very nice & respectful. Since I had a severe sinus headache & felt very ill, I really appreciated that she quickly focused on my symptoms & the best RX. She was very fast & efficient, which was very appropriate & appreciated for this particular appt. since I've had this same chronic problem for 30 years with textbook symptoms. I would be happy seeing this doctor while my pcp is out. Always treated extremely well at UCLA Health.

Dr. Harutyunyan was extremely knowledgable and helpful when I brought my daughter in for a check up. She went above and beyond to get my daughter to the right specialist.

Neglected basic check up to focus on weight loss
She focused more on how I can lose weight than actually doing a physical. No one goes looking to be palpated or have a breast exam, but she barely touched me other than to look in my ears, eyes, and check my lungs. She did not check my reflexes, or any other basic check up procedures. Rather, she went on about how I needed to lose 15 lbs in 3 months, since "diabetes" is a factor. She was convinced I needed to lose 2lbs a week in 3 months, she claimed it's not a crash diet.... as someone who has been in the long term fitness game - it very much is. This is crash cutting for competition levels. If she read my chart, as she said she did, I am no where near close to diabetes levels. I have had weight fluctuations aver the course of an incredibly stressful and unpredictable year. I think she just didn't want to touch my body. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning in 3 months. I do not have an eating disorder, but if you do, or have body image issues, she is not the person to go to.
