Misdiagnosis
He did unnecessary back surgery onu 81 year old mother that ended up killing her. He told me she had osteomyelitis and needed to take bone and surrounding tissues samples in order to know what antibiotic to treat with. The procedure ended up leaving her legs paralyzed which then led to inability to have a bowel movement which led to even more complications that end up taking her life 31 days later. At day 5 the culture of the bone and tissues taken from her spine came back negative for osteomyelitis infection. She didn't even have osteomyelitis. Hismisdiagnosis and procedure he performed ended up killing her.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Patel. I had a 3 level lower back fusion in 2021. At the time, I was barely walking. On the day of surgery, I had developed drop foot. Dr. Patel explained every step of the journey. I am 6+ months from surgery. I only have pain due to scar tissue and that is going away, I would highly recommend Dr. Patel if you have any type of neurological problems. He did wonderful job in my case.

Dr. Patel is amazing!!! He is extremely knowledgeable about his field and is not about sugar coating the issue. He has a fantastic bedside manner and truly cares about his patients. I am an Army veteran and chose to see him rather than go back to the VA. I thank Dr. Patel for taking me as a new patient!

Dr. Patel is a rare breed of a surgeon. He is a professional, brilliant, kind, caring and empathetic doctor with a gentle bedside manner. We saw him for several years after a traumatic brain injury and were always impressed with his patient rapport. He explains complex medical conditions in easy to understand terms, listens well, and takes the time to make sure you understand what is going on.

When I first met Dr. Patel I instantly felt at ease and completely comfortable with my decision to see him. I had a Chiari type 1 malformation and was experiencing horrible headaches. I also had a lot of pressure inside my head. After the surgery Dr. Patel asked me how I was feeling. I told him I no longer felt any pressure inside my head. I’m overjoyed with happiness because I’ve felt this way for so many years and thought it was normal. I highly recommend Dr. Patel for any Chiari type surgery

This doctor is an excellent surgeon however his office staff displays very little experience in patient care. They are not prompted in any medical necessities such as pain management. They do not return phone calls quickly in order to to attend to the needs of their patients. So, the staff currently is not acceptable to any degree.

Meet Dr. Patel during my last hospital stay. He took the time to ask me all kinds of questions. I think the first day he came in my room 4 different times to ask more. Come to find out when he left my room we was studying all my images and talking to other doctors. He found the CAUSE of the problem. He wasn't ok with just putting a bandaid on the pain. He worked hard to get me to the correct doctor and offered to help the whole way.
