Don’t do it!
I’ve been her patient for a number of years now. She’s a smart lady but extremely arrogant! It’s her way or the highway! And Lord forbid, you question her opinion…she will snap at you and make you feel stupid. So, don’t ask questions!Dr Dhruv’s Office is extremely understaffed. It must be a horrible work environment if 5 of the ladies who worked upfront, (checking in and checking out patients) have quit! The one lady they have was struggling to keep up. Her frustration caused her to be rude and defensive towards others.Phone Calls are never answered.Messages through the portal are never read. There is a major lack of communication in this office.Dr. Dhruv needs to step down off of her high horse and actually listen as if she cared About Her patients.Makes you wonder if this is the reason why her staff quit.I won’t go back!!

No answer from referral
In January 2025, we had a STAT referral sent to this office from both UF Shands and our local PCP. It is now March, and we have yet to receive a call for an appointment. Reaching the referral coordinator has been extremely difficult, often requiring over an hour on hold. When we were finally able to speak with her, the response was consistently dismissive: “I get tons a day!” Each follow-up call yielded the same vague responses—“We are working on it,” “It’s on her desk to review,” or “We will expedite.”Unfortunately, after waiting far too long, we were forced to seek care elsewhere, requiring a three-hour drive. This is not an efficient or patient-centered way to manage referrals, and it has caused unnecessary delays in care.

I am a veteran that moved to the area late October. The VA sent them my referral twice and I had to call on my own to get scheduled. I finally spoke with Dawn the referral person in early January and scheduled my appointment with Dr. Dhruv in April. I get a call today to tell me the doctor I'm scheduled to see is no longer with the practice. I said that's not who I scheduled to see. I then asked for the office manager. Christian comes to the phone. I tell him the situation and he places me on hold while he looks at my records. He then comes back to say yeah, I can't reschedule you with that doctor because "there are records she requires before she can see anybody". I said excuse me? He said the doctor I was scheduled to see has minimum requirements to be scheduled with. I said I have Diabetes. He still said he needs labs. You make people wait 3mos to get in and want recent labs too? I hung up! I let the VA know and now everyone else! I didn't get rescheduled! HORRIBLE!!!

Retired MD
Dr..Dhruv is extremely well qualified and expertise exemplary. I have been seeing her for almost 20 years. She is aggressive in treating (particularly) Type II diabetes. I was placed on byetta 12 years ago. She said the pancreas might regenerate on that medication (I didn't believe it but took the medication). Sure enough my A1C dropped to 5.6 and stayed there. She aggressively screens for kidney and cardiac issues related to the disease. She is firm but explains issues and answers questions well. She doesn't just look at numbers; she assesses diet and anticipates questions.

Captain Ron
Dr. Dhruv, either love her or you hate her. If you want a Dr to coddle and hold your hand, she's not for you. If you want a Dr that is smart, to the point and knows her stuff, she is the one.

Extremely thorough and kind
Dr. Dhruv always takes time to explain what is impacting my diabetes. She is never rushed and monitors my kidney and liver functions, as well as my heart and vascular issues. She is genuinely concerned about her patient's well-being. She stays current on the latest science and shares that knowledge to aid us in our journey with diabetes.

Best Doctor I Know
Dr. Dhruv is incredibly thorough. She doesn't just follow the insurance company guidelines on acceptable standard of care. She treats me as a whole, not just as a diabetic. She takes time to explain every aspect of the treatment plan. She is also very supportive, encouraging me to make good dietary choices.

I agree with every negative review.
If you like doctors who are rude, overbearing, arrogant, “full of themselves “ and don’t listen, she’s your girl! If you prefer someone opposite of that, DONT go to her. Office staff not good either!

To the point
I went to Dr. Dhruv several yrs. ago , and am now coming back to her found other Dr.‘a just have you running in circles with your health, where as Dr.Dhruv is direct and to the point, explaining your condition and what needs to be done to have a healthier long comfortable life. It’s a shame more Dr.’s aren’t as Helpful and Listeners to your health instead of pushing pills or pushing you off to someone else.

Absolutely horrible. She will make you wait in her office for two hours before even seeing her and then she'll barely say three words to you. She did not listen to any of my concerns outside of my numbers and continuously pushed her idea of a treatment plan after I told her I could not afford it and that it would interfere with ongoing mental health treatment. She's also terrible at explaining what she wants you to do. She doesn't listen and she acts like you are just a problem to be solved and not a person.

Not really of this doctor per se. I see an endocrinologst currently (not this doctor) but am not especially satisfied with him. I tried to get an appointment with Dr Dhruv. Her office said that they need a referral. I told this lady that my insurance (Federal BCBS) does NOT require referrals. She said that they did. Kinda unusual....I guess I won't be going to Dr Dhruv. I don't feel like getting a referral from my current endocrinologist and then maybe not liking Dr Dhruv and then trying to go back. What would happen if I just wanted a 2nd opinion?

Probably not. The last two visit I had to this office I waited 45 minutes before I was called into the examination area, and then another 30 minutes before the Doctor came in. I spoke to another patient in the waiting area, and she indicated she had an appointment for the same time with the same doctor as I had. You should not have to wait over an hour past your appointment time to see a doctor.

This was a disappointing experience. Rude, condescending, aggressive. I personally heard her assistant give her a phone to bark at my doctor's office that she refused to talk to a PA, because they aren't a doctor. She has no interest in what you have to say and no interest in your past treatment beyond saying you're going to die if you don't do it my way. Her brevity and to the point aspect that some people are happy with here is to me a major flaw. If you aren't going to listen and you're going to be short and rude to not only me but the office and staff treating me, I've no time for you. Trying to use fear to convince somebody is not brevity, it's a strong arm tactic to get you out of her rooms. Explain to me why you think so, give me something to read, etc. Convince me. I've had numerous endos over my time and worked in practices with 16 physicians. I've never seen a more rude or nasty doctor.

She is very "to the point". Some people don't like that but I do. She is not shy about telling you what you need to do to improve your health but will listen to your concerns/questions and gives you a straight up answer. You may not like the answer but that's not her fault. If you're looking for a doctor to coddle you, she is not the one. If you want a doctor who will aggressively treat what ales you, she is the one.

Dr Dhruv has been knowledgable so far and has treated me, but her bedside manner is lacking. I can see she wants to help, but doesn’t have bedside manner I need in a doctor. I felt like she did not understand my concerns. Also agree with other reviews, double check labs and orders, things were input incorrectly. Would have waited indefinitely if I didn’t call the lab and ask about scheduling an ultrasound she ordered, when they finally found the order, they saw it had been written incorrectly.

I read many reviews on this doctor before scheduling with her. I was apprehensive due to the abundant negative feedback but my primary sent my referral to her so she must be good right??? No!!! Please read the reviews on this doctor before scheduling with her. She was exactly like people are saying she is. She's rude, condescending, rolls her eyes and she won't speak directly to you but speaks into a recorder about you. I could go on but I would just be repeating what others are already saying.
