CANCELLED Med Out of SPITE & so much more
This woman seems pleasant initially until you realize under the big smile lies a person intent on overbilling and over vaccinating. She didn't see I'd already. been given the Tetanus vax and insisted it be given (again). She told me 'Tetanus is deadly. Most people who get tetanus DIE.' (Untrue.)At my yearly appointment, when I asked for a med, she told me she'd have to bill me for a second appointment (in order to spend 30 seconds sending it in). She charged $120 for this!I never asked for it, but Hourmouzis showed me a Living Will and spent 4 mins on where to sign on each page. She didn't explain anything despite the bill showing she should've spend 30-45 min explaining it. She billed $150 for this!In total, she billed $813 for my yearly appt which should have been fully covered. When I asked about it, she booted me which is laughable -I'd never go back. Soon after, I called my pharmacy for my asthma med, the tech said Hourmouzis had cancelled it. She CANC'D my medication! smh

Unprofessional
I chose Dr Nina Hourmouzis as my primary doctor. She seemed nice. The reason I was to have the appointment was a follow up from my previous doctor to check cholesterol on a new medication. This was in April. I was told we would just check it in NOVEMBER. That was the whole reason for the appointment in the first place!. I requested that the bloodwork be done now. She wrote the order. I saw her one more time shortly thereafter and she stated she was leaving on maternity leave. A CNP would take over her duties while she is away. While she was away, the CNP would not communicate with me on critical health issues. When I stated I needed the CNP to communicate with me she sent me a Discharge from tthe Practice Letter. When Dr Hourmouzis returned she sent a Discharge from the Practice Letter out of association. She and I had no problems whatsoever. I find this unprofessional. She definitely will not up for the patient.

seemed nice at first
She seemed nice enough at first, did the whole "eating healthier might solve all your problems" thing. Ended up dismissing me as a patient after like 3 weeks because she didn't want to do lab tests that she was advised to do by her referral. She doesn't listen to patient concerns well, and seems unwilling to help diagnose.

She is friendly and shows compassion for her patients. Was not sure after having Dr Irsham for so many years but she made the transition very easy. Would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Hourmouzis is outstanding! As my new PCP, she quickly found the root cause of a life threatening issue. She quickly ran tests: blood work, carotid imaging, and heart monitoring. I had a carotid blockage >90% with major symptoms. Since having a stint installed, I feel great!. Dr. Hourmouzis is extremely knowledgeable, is a great listener with strong analytical skills. She and her staff are the most caring and considerate medical team I’ve been around. So happy to have her as my Dr.
