Dr. Shah has been attentive from the very first meeting. She took the time to understand my concerns and provided me all the options available to me along with their pros and cons. I would highly recommend.

No better endocrinologist
I have been seeing Dr. Shah for type 1 diabetes for over a year now, and she has always been fantastic. I have seen a dozen endocrinologists across five states in the past 18 years, and none have been better than Dr. Shah. Under her care, I have seen a 0.5 point decrease in my A1c, and I am happier than ever. I am overweight, and unlike another reviewer, I have never experienced any degree of fatphobia from Dr. Shah. She has always taken a scientifically-sound and realistic stance towards my weight and has pointed me towards resources to make me healthier. I would recommend Dr. Shah to anyone living with type 1 diabetes. Working with her makes this disease seem surmountable.

Not equipped to care for Addison’s patients
Dr. Shah does not have the proactive knowledge or expertise to properly care for a person with Addison’s disease. She is not well versed on educating her patients on life saving emergency care and fails to properly call in medications and labs. If you had Addison’s, Dr. Shah is a dangerous choice for your care and could potentially lead to a life threatening adrenal failure situation that she did not equip you for. Other endocrinologists know that emergency preparation is the most important part of ongoing care and Dr. Shah is only qualified to diagnose, not treat.

I have been with Dr. Shah for several years and never want to go to another endocrinologist. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, courteous and answers questions via the portal almost immediately. She has helped with handle both metabolism and osteoporosis/bone loss issues tremendously. I high recommend Dr. Shah

She was quite fatphobic towards me while I was seeing her for PCOS, even though I had already lost 60 pounds. Shaming patients does not work. I left and found a more supportive endocrinologist.
