Willing to Help
Started seeing Dr. Carlson due to massive flare ups in pain as well as some other serious symptoms. During the nine months it took to get surgery and diagnose the issue, she and her staff were always kind and listened to me when I told them I thought I needed surgery. Pre op they were happy to answer any questions I had and explain what was going to happen, and post op Dr. Carlson herself called me to inform me of some test results from the surgery. Highly recommend her if you are dealing with chronic pain, she will listen and is willing to get you whatever help you need.

The wait time is always over an hour, the nurses aren’t necessarily friendly and can be quite judgmental. Dr Carlson neglects to tell patients important details that may cause permanent scarring or damage. Appointments are rushed which is surprising seeing how far behind their schedule is.

I told her I was not sexually active and yet she performed a pelvic exam on me anyway. I was in a lot of pain and bled a little afterwards. She didn’t tell me that she was going to insert something into my vagina at all. I assumed she would just look per usual and move on. After it was over I told the assistant I was in pain and she stated they would use the smaller tool next time. That should’ve been used to begin with. This is the first time I’ve ever had a negative experience with this doctor. This will be the first and last. I won’t have doctor that does not listen to me.

Very nice doctor and staff, however, they the wait time is horrible. You can expect to be waiting for well over an hour before even being taken to an exam room where you will wait for another 30-60 minutes. It’s infuriating, my time is just as important as the staff’s.

My self, along with my mother, aunt and sister have been patients of Dr. Carlson for years. She and her staff have gone out of their way for me many times. I appreciate her care and concern for her patients!

TERRIBLE experience. Refused treatment of catheter when I asked to set up a payment plan at the front desk. Catheter for vaginal gland fell OUT the next day after she refused treatment. THEN I was sent to collections AFTER having already made a payment, all within 90 days of their payment plan policy. Waste of time, extreme physical pain, lots of money gone, credit score took a hit, and medical problem left untreated. NOT GOOD.

Never even got the opportunity too meet. My husband is military and got a referral to see an off post Gyn. I wanted to see the best GYN in Augusta, GA, but was turned away. I have Essure and need it removed. It has caused autoimmune disease, Endometriosis, fatigue, low sex drive, Vitamin deficiencies, just to name a few. In order to remove it, you have to have a larposcopic hysterectomy. She is the only one in the area that takes Tricare and won't even help. What happened to Dr's that care?
