The first meeting was great. Told me I would need open heart surgery as it's the 'gold standard' and that a TAVR would not last as long. He wanted me to have a cardiac cath to have a look at my heart and I agreed. I Met with my surgeon the following week. He wanted the same test but also wanted a test where they go down your throat for a Doppler imaging of the heart from that angle. Since I have no experience in this I said great let's get it do the tests. The next day Dr Kher contacted me via the phone. He was quite upset that I had talked to the surgeon. He proceeded to tell me I was making his job difficult and complicating things. ...He was VERRRRY aggressive and was demanding to know if I wanted the test he scheduled or not! I said I did want the test as I need to get my heart fixed. I honestly had no idea I had done anything wrong... I am now going to MAYO for TAVR. Unneeded stress and BAD EXPERIENCE DURING AN EMOTIONAL TIME. Avoid this Dr. There is no excuse for his actions...

Excellent Overall
As a highly ranked US Masters swimmer, having an issue with my heart was shocking and upsetting to say the least. Dr. Kher greeted me with his name, a handshake, and was business-like and direct in what he saw from the stress test results/images and what he recommended (angiogram with a stent likely). He said absolutely no effort of any kind until the procedure a week later. When I said my fiancée might not like that, that's when he showed his humanity and we joked a little about that but he said this was the "widowmaker" I likely had so fun aside, I had to be very careful. At the hospital, before the procedure, he checked in with me, saw my now wife (we got married the day before the procedure) and remarked how she was definitely worth living for in a nice, classy way. He again checked in on me the next morning at the hospital (I was 90% blocked on the LAD) and was everything I could ask for in a doctor/surgeon. His office staff has been great throughout this ordeal as well.

Personable, caring, Life Saving! Thank you Dr. Kher for placing 4 stents for my husbands heart after another cardiologist -even after an angiogram showing blockages did not - meds would take care of it - HA. Later, when my husband had his heart attack - Dr. Kher took wonderful care of him - 1 stent placed immediately and another 3 during the next two weeks- not wanting to overstress my husbands kidneys due to diabetes. Highly Recommended

I am VERY fortunate to have Dr. Kher as my cardiologist and have been treated and cared for by him since Nov. of 2013. Though he did not do my quintuple by-pass surgery , he did save my life in post-care. I had 4 of the 5 by-passes fail 6 weeks later....and thanks to Dr. Kher all went well. My family and I are truly grateful for a physician who is interested in the entire person. He is not only an asset to our community and hospital, but especially to me and our family.

Not caring at all! Have seen me as a patient for the first time. He spend 10 min. telling me I need to loose weight but not paying attention to my underactive thyroid condition which makes it almost impossible to loose weight. Two very expensive tests were ordered (2D Echogram & Stress Test, almost $7K billed to my insurance). I never got results (neither did my doc who referred me) & when I called I was told by staff all is fine. He never called or talked to me after that visits. No care!
