Thankful for the awful experience
I had a horrible experience with Dr. Zinkin. I've have GERD/reflux since the birth of my son about 5 years ago. During the consultation I had with the doctor all he chalked up my GERD was to me being overweight. 60% of the discussion we had was me having to loose weight, and nothing else will fix the issue. Then when he found out I was a nurse he began to curse with me as if we were colleagues/friends. Completely unprofessional. I left there with more questions then I did going in there and feeling ashamed like this was my fault. All in all I am thankful for the experience because I walked right out of there knowing I needed a second opinion. Thank God I did and received the care and procedure that I knew I needed, now being diagnosed with something more then just basic GERD due to being overweight. We are only human, we all have bad days so I really hope this was just that for him. Highly do not recommend this physician, unless your 5'7" and 100 pounds and look like a model.

Hands Down the BEST GI Doctor
Dr Zinkin was recommended by a nurse in Huntington Hospital, and are we glad she did! He is smart, knows his stuff and is the most caring physician we've met in a long time. He listens; follows up; returns calls; and makes simple, practical suggestions. He is actually interested in his patients ! He may just be the best physician, of any sort, in this town. He deserves more than 5 stars

I was able to see Marisol the nurse practitioner, under Dr. Zinkin. I was taken back as she SINCERELY CARES about my well being. At each visit, she takes her time with me and I never feel rushed. She's also friendly and personable which I find tremendously comforting. Thank you Marisol!!!
