Dr. Saks is pleasant and professional in providing care. When I presented a problem, he was quick to fix it and explain the reason. He is the second doctor zi have seen at Eye Specialists of Illinois. I am never disappointed! I have referred family and friends in the past, and will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. Saks!

My husband had gone to Dr. Saks and I liked him immediately. When I had my issue, I know ew exactly where I was going to go. His professionalism, friendliness, thoroughbreds was more than I could ask for.

In 2016, I first saw Dr. Saks because my eyelids drooped badly, blurring my vision. He performed Bilateral Upper Lid Blepharoplasty and Bilateral Lower Lid Canthoplasty. September of 2024, he treated a sty on the lower lid of my left eye that would not go away. He did a procedure that drained the sty. I had to put an ointment on it twice a day. It is now fully healed. I have had great conversations with Dr Saks. He is very thorough. He explains things very well. I trust him completely. His assistants and Office Staff are very nice as well. Another plus is that I never wait very long to see Dr Saks!

Once we were taken back, things went pretty quickly. We moved from one waiting room to another as we went from a general exam, to see the docotor, to have tests done and then back for a final visit with the doctor. Referred by my aunt who had eyelid surgery many years ago. Dr Saks is knowledgeable, precise, explains procedures and options and answers any questions. The staff is outstanding. Sometimes long waits, but there aren't many doctors who do this and has years of experience. Happy with results post-op two weeks.

I am writing this for other clients if you are looking for surgeries or any services to express my deep concerns and disappointment regarding the outcome of the upper blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Saks in November 2022.Since the surgery, I have experienced various issues, including , persistent dryness, and worsening vision. Despite the initial examination for insurance purposes, I provide additional expenses of $3,800 out of pocket. Moreover, using mascara or makeup exacerbates the redness and itching in my eyes, making my vision worse.One of the most significant concerns is the presence of a visible scar on both of my eyelids, affecting not only the aesthetic result but also causing discomfort. Given the severity of these issues, I am now compelled to seek the opinion of a different Ophthalmologist to assess the situation and determine the necessary course of action. I sincerely hope that by bringing attention to my situation, others may be spared from a similar experience:(

He is not the Surgeon to perform blepharoplasty. I went to him in Feb to remove the bags under my eyes and trim the eyelid on my right eye. He did not remove the fat under my eyes, he said he pushed it down into my face. This is unheard of. This changed my appearance and not for the best. I couln't see for weeks. My vision became distorted and blurry. His response was I have dry eyes. Here it is 11 months later and my vision is still impaired by blurriness. I would never referr him for Blepharoplasty. Very unhappy. I was questioned by othere that had thisw same surgery as to what and why what he did affected my vision. This is question I asked over and over again.

Dr. Saks was recommended by my ophthalmologist for needed surgery. He is respectful, knowledgeable, explained the surgery needed and options, and answered questions. Surgical outcome was good, clear post op instructions, good follow up. other reviews speak to unfriendliness but i just did not see him has overtly friendly or extremely chatty. Office staff not that personable. Scheduler very pleasant and extremely helpful. absolutely recommend this physician ashe is good in his specialty.

3 months ago he performed blepharoplasty. Now, my eyes are severely wrinkled, scrunched up, eyelashes tucked in, & sagging skin from the top. I’m only 24 and i can’t leave my house!!

Dr. Saks was able to fix my very significant eye lid droop and restore it to a normally functioning eye lid. This surgery led to improved vision, better self-confidence and fewer headaches. I have gone to Dr.. Saks for many years and trust him. But enough is enough, I walked out today, after waiting for an hour after dilation. Every appointment has been the same. He said: "Doing my best." How about not over scheduling? I was not the only one in the office today frustrated.
