Was very rude

She couldn’t care less about my significant health history or symptoms. She wanted to play the virus card and send me on my way. Didn’t offer a chest xray even though it was warranted based on my symptoms and exposure to bacterial pneumonia. When I advocated for myself and insisted on antibiotics she got very rude and told me she’d prescribe them and I could leave. 20 minutes later she called and said she wouldn’t be prescribing them. She then lied in the medical notes she wrote about my visit. So now I am left on a Saturday having issues with my breathing (great for someone with severe asthma) and waiting to hear back from my pulmonologist Monday. She is the type of physician that makes me hesitant to seek treatment at convenient care.

Dr. Bem is by far the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. I left my appointment feeling like I had done something wrong. She made it clear that she did not care about the personal issues that impacted my care and was simply there to treat the bacteria. She lectured me and was very condescending which was even more insulting considering I have a doctorate and have worked in healthcare for 18 years AND she was treating a chronic condition which I have seen many wonderful doctors for in the past. She should not be allowed to practice medicine. Her bedside manner is appalling.
