Terrible! His office is like an assembly line slaughterhouse. They aren’t paying attention. Sad that people in pain have no where else to go but to him. He is dangerous! Doesn’t care about you, only money.

I injured my sciatica nerve and she would not even take the time or responsibility to go over my ER papers and send me to see Dr James for an injection. She is the most uncompassionate person I have ever seen! God bless Brian and Stacy!

My wife was a patient of his and when she had to have her right lung removed at CHI St Joseph West of which he is affiliated tried multiple to reach him so they could give her pain medicine after the anesthesia wore off he would not return there call so she spent the rest of her hospital stay in terrible pain. I don't know what of physician does this but he doesn't deserve to be practicing medice.

Dr. James himself is good as is his PA Brian, but the staff are the most hateful medical staff in have ever encountered. I have seen them bring patients to tears for asking s simple question, yelling at them, belittling them, etc. The checkout staff is the worst . I am not saying they have to be over the top friendly but at least have the decency to treat people like human beings.

I’ve been a patient there for about 3 mo. Today I had a follow up appt after a pain shot. I arrived about 10 min late due to traffic and detour around an accident. They left me sitting in the lobby for another 5-7 min after I arrived. They never said a word to me. Then 7 min later they said I was 15 min late and I need to reschedule. When I explained the reason why, they just didn’t care. Yet last appt I had to wait over an hr. Only 2 people in the lobby. I left & told them I wouldn’t be back!!!

I was experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms while trying to reduce the Oxycodone I was prescribed following knee surgery. Dr James took a lot of time with me during the initial visit, and made a suggestion that significantly eased the symptoms. My experience with him was excellent, and I highly recommend his care.

My mother was experiencing severe pain in her neck and her local pain management doctor could not get her an appointment for nearly 4 weeks. Not only did Dr James see her right away, he listened to her and outlined very clearly what her treatment options were (with realistic and honest probability of success) and performed the procedure the very next day. If you're looking for a caring and extremely capable pain management specialist then Dr James is the right choice.

This was my first visit. I thought i was going to see Dr James but saw an APRN which she was very smart and seemed to know the right things that needed to be done. Although I was disappointed not to see the MD my overall experience was good. I was in there over 2 hours but it was my first visit and lots of paperwork. Lisa was very kind and listened to everything I said and understood. Maybe start having a better quality of life now!

He was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. Before he wven came in the exam room he and his nurse had already went over everything in my charts from both of the neurologist I had seen along with nerve conduction testing Ive had done. He helped me in every way he could and made some very good suggestions. Glad I made the appointment.

It was the worse assembly-line medical experience I've ever had. Dr. James's PA diagnosed my pain as bursa, which I knew wasn't correct because a) I'd had that injection before, and b) he had not read the nerve/muscle conduction test report which identified a problem with the sciatica nerve due to hip replacement. At the appointment with Dr. James, I was put in a chair behind a curtain for a bursa injection. I told the nurse I needed to talk to Dr. James because it was sciatica and not bursitis
