Dr. Olukayode Awosika, MD

I have been seeing Dr Awosika for several years, and I like his approach. He is caring, but also relaxed, not overwhelming, and makes astute observations. highly recommend.

Dr. Awoshika takes the time needed in my visits, of course depends on what is my condition at that time is. Answers all questions, he will follow up with me and if I need frequent visits he will schedule them for me. I can go to the office or do telehealth, as I choose. I’ve been to other doctors with very bad experiences. He is my doctor from 2016 and I never had to be hospitalized after that, being hospitalized 3 times was a traumatic experience for me that I don’t want to go through it again.I feel thankful for having such a good health professional. My last appointment was 1/11/2024

I've been with Dr. Awosika for years, starting at the younger ag. Dr. A & his team always make me L feel comfortable, safe, heard, & genuinely cared for. Which, for a scared, embarrassed, & naïve young adult, their nurturing & patient professionalism has many times been heroic for me. Dr. Awosika is the only doctor I TRUST. when it comes to prescribing me medications for my mental health illnesses. He genuinely cares for my long term mental & physical health as Person not like a patient.My lifestyle changed, I did not feel permanent long-term goals for a while.Dr. Awasika recommended me Him & his staff performed I’ve felt the full benefits of the HELP & I now have full control my ADHD.

I feel exceedingly lucky to have Dr. Awosika as my psychiatrist. After over a decade of psychiatrists, I have never met such a truly caring professional, who goes above and beyond to ensure not just a high level of professional service but a RARE and exceedingly strong empathetic ability. I truly feel seen and heard by him, and could not recommend a better psychiatrist that I've had in over a decade of being a patient at other psychiatric clinics. It's so rare to find a medical professional so invested in seeing you succeed. There is truly no other medical professional in my experience that I would trust to the degree that I do with Dr. Kay (Dr. Awosika nickname). I'm truly serious when I state that he has saved my life more than once over several years with his care, guidance and understanding. He has a true care for my well being in both the short and long term. I could write about numerous occasions where Dr. Awosika was exemplary but I am going to leave it at that.

I first met Dr A. while hospitalized and when my Psychiatrist retired he recommended Dr A. for my continued care. Having seen him over several years he is professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and caring. He isn’t afraid to suggest new treatments. He works with you hand and hand to adjust the treatment plan until you are satisfied. If changes are needed he listens intently to your goals and experiences and works with you. I appreciate his calm, humorous attitude during appointments. He’s very aware that he has your life in his hands and that you are human, just like him. I hope that he continues his practice for as long he is able as he’s one of the best doctors that I’ve had in over sixty years of treatment. If everyone could give the care that Dr A. provides this world would be a much healthier, happier place. And I almost never write reviews on anything but Dr A. deserves this review. He really is a 5 star person as well as a 5 star doctor.

Dr. Awosika (aka Dr. K) was a lifesaver for me. He asks the right questions and actually listens. He listens to what meds have worked for you in the past and what doesn't and doesn't coerce you to try a med that you aren't comfortable with (like other Drs have). He was very easy to talk to, even though he doesn't do talk therapy. Very thankful to have the opportunity to work with him!

Hi. Great meeting Dr. Awosika! Hope the tx works out. Really rough time of year!! This is about worst I've ever felt. Plus have sleep apnea. Virtually too exhausted to know what's going on. Had 2 CPAP's, both taken back, due to not using them enough. Gotta buy my own. Thx for your time & flexibility given weather.

Dr A has been my Doctor for over a year now. When I started at Pinnacle I was given a provider who treated me very poorly due to my history with substance use disorder. I filed a complaint with Pinnacle and they assigned me to Dr. A. Dr A has been nothing but supportive, he is able to listen and hear the needs of his clients. He is progressive and up to date on new options for mental health. I felt like I could ask him anything without judgement and even joke with him. He is able to connect with people and keep the relationship human. So many places now are so fearful of client centered care, whereas Dr. A is not. He definitely provides facts and lets the person who knows themselves the best share necessary information without judgement. Thanks Dr. A, if it wasn't for you I would never recommend Pinnacle.
