The one thing that stood out to me about my visit with Dr. Familua is that he REALLY listened to me about my concerns, due to my family history of breast cancer! I was referred to him by my Gynecologist after a cyst was detected during a breast ultrasound in May, 2023. The cyst appeared to be benign and the recommendation was to have it checked again in 6 months. but with all the breast cancer in my family, my husband, family, and I really did not want to wait...but to go ahead and have it removed. Dr. Familua listened to me about my concerns...and we were able to schedule the surgery very quickly, before he left on a medical mission to a remote village in Mexico. The fact that we were able to move forward with the surgery really gave me peace of mind! Dr. Familua and all of his staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful! I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs to have surgery! He is a very caring, excellent surgeon!

He helped save my moms life and I am forever thankful that we landed at Las Palmas and were blessed with the best surgeon and man of God! He made sure not to rush into surgery with her and ensured she was 100% stable before performing surgery. Any other dr would have rushed in and she would have lost her life! after being schedule for my gall bladder surgery 6 days before have to go to emergency at the Hospital and I asked for Dr. Familua and my surprise was he denied to perform my surgery because he got full schedule. Be SURE if you have your surgery schedule hold your pain and not going to emergency until your surgery date. Unprofessional or maybe because I have medicare and private insurance pay him more

I am very impressed with Dr. Familua's approach to his patients as well as the dedication his staff is to their respective duties. Dr. Familua is very thorough in his initial examination and takes his time to get to know the patient and their affliction. He is a very caring individual, easy-going and NOT pretentious (as I've dealt with in the past). He is VERY knowledgeable and a talented surgeon (did an awesome job on me!) and I would not only give he and his staff FIVE stars, but recommend him to all who are interested. I was sent to him by 2 of my co-workers (who couldn't say enough kind things about him) and I don't regret my choice. The office staff is efficient and thorough and if you need disability insurance paperwork filled out, they are quick to respond. Whenever I have called the office, I get to speak to a staff member, not a recorded message and ALL questions asked have either been answered, or someone was quick to seek out the information. The IV Therapy that I received at Dunamis Surgical Center made a grand difference in my daily life, I feel energized, motivated, I have been getting the sleep that my body needs, I was loosing my hair and now Ive notice no hair loss.
