Dr fine, nurses awful
Telehealth
I have gotten used to Dr Murad. He’s a bit abrasive at first and can be very impatient. His receptionist, Jackie, is great. What bothers me are the nurses. There seem to be two, and if either of them is actually a Registered Nurse, I will take this bad review down. It says on my chart that the only number I have given them is my cell. It takes them 10 minutes to verify that I’m me on my own phone, that they are calling from Dr Murad’s office (which I can see from the display), that he’s an endocrinologist and they are calling because I’m a diabetic (thanks for the newsflash). Every phone call takes 20 minutes when it should take 4. I can’t tell if they are actually as stupid as they appear or if this is their chance to talk down to someone. One of them has this drawling voice that makes me want to take a hammer to the phone. I have honestly considered switching to another endo because of them.

The best Endo EVER plus the office is GREAT
I love how much this office goes out of their way to make it convenient. They are the first office that really follows up sending forms to the insurance for my medications if needed without me calling them. Dr. Murad is super patient and polite- I love our video visits and have never felt rushed. I found Dr. Murad on next door and will never switch!!

Dr. Murad is well qualified, but is patronizing, arrogant and dictatorial. I don't know if it's just his personality or if he thinks he's superior because he's a doctor or because he's a man (I am a woman). He lectures rather than discusses, prescribes medication without consulting the patient and gets angry when questioned by his patient. He doesn't have a "bad" bedside manner, he has NO bedside manner.

I saw Dr. Murad for my Graves disease. He recommended radioactive iodine, which was not effective and cost me over $2,000. When I ended up pregnant 6 weeks later, he told me to terminate my pregnancy. And when I had trouble remembering to take meds three times a day, he wouldn't see me anymore. My baby was perfectly healthy, with no issues and is now 10 years old. Shame on you dr. Murad!

I found Dr. Murad to be courteous, polite, and highly intelligent. His office staff was friendly and efficient, and I was seen right on time. He listened carefully to my questions and input, was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and explained things clearly. I feel confident that I will have the best care available under his care.

As always, I walk away from my follow-up visit with Dr. Murad, feeling that he has given me the expertise and attention I needed to take care of my medical problem. Everything was explained to me in a manner I could relate to; I walked out of the visit as usual, feeling that I have chosen the right doctor to help me and make me feel better.

This guys is AWFUL. If you have any other choices, go there. Before even meeting me, he called to assert his power. He told me what therapies would work for me (even though he hadn't met me or read any of my labs). When I pushed back a little with questions, he threatened to not see me as a patient. If you want a doctor that accepts questions and will listen to you, go elsewhere.
