Lack of follow through
Dr. Viswanath did not discuss pain control with my surgeon prior to surgery and gave a very low dose of pain medication after major surgery and then dropped me from the practice when I needed more pain medication! This went against everything that the surgeon requested and required. It was discussed that the surgeon and Dr. V would discuss adequate pain measures and Dr V never followed up with the surgeon and I was left with severe pain and ended up falling and breaking everything that the surgery had just fixed. Had I had adequate pain medication I may not have been unstable on my feet and would not have fallen. I will never recommend Dr. V to anybody!

Effective, amazing physician!
Dr. V has treated me for several issues, including a recent very painful fall from a horse. I've had a long history of orthopedic surgeries am very particular about my physicians. Dr. V is thoughtful and takes the time to really listen. He partners with you in the treatment plan. He's also upbeat and confident in his skills and very transparent about the various options available. I highly recommend him - and now see why he is so highly regarded in the field.

Painful and bad experience Would someone let him know that I read about 5 words of his inaccurate discharge letter before I tossed it in the garbage? Hardly worth my time to even consider reading it. The fact is that I fired this Bozo because of his cocky and unprofessional attitude, and don't know how ever became a Physician with his inept attitude and pain he inflicted........................................................................................................

Dr. Viswanath is the most skilled pain management physician I've had the good fortune to work with. I've struggled with chronic lower back pain and fractures for 10 years, rarely having a pain free day even though I was under a physicians care. When I met Dr. Viswanath he listened to every word I said, asked lots of questions and was able to suggest a course of action that immediately provided a level of pain relief I had not experienced before. He's a terrific Dr. and a great person.

Confrontational, defensive on his plan, threatened to cancel my epidural for reminding him about trigger point injection. Place was dirty and disorganized.. Choose someone else. As a medical professional myself, I've NEVER been treated or spoken to as a patient the way this guy did.

Dr. Viswanath was attentive and personable during my visit. Unfortunately, after describing my condition at the time of visit, he basically ignored what I had communicated and went directly to attempting to schedule me for an injection appointment that I did not need.
