Best Vascular surgeon ever~!
I had a stent in my left leg that collapsed in Florida on vacation and I ended up in the hospital having emergency surgery on 5/13/22 in HCA Floria JFK hospital but all they did was open the stent they never cleaned out the blood clots. When I got back to NJ the stent had already collapsed again and I ended up in Morristown Medical Center with a second emergency surgery on 5/26/22. He’s definitely one of the kindest, most compassionate doctors I’ve met in years. He never rushes you, and he explains things so you don’t need a medical degree to understand him. His team, including Kim the PA and Dr Geo were amazing too. Everyone was so kind. I was in danger of losing two toes because when the blood clot- it broke into particles that landed in my left foot & toes. He literally saved them after they had turned black! I was also cut about 6” straight up my groin twice in two weeks. A very painful place to be cut. I truly believe he saved my life- I was heparin induced thrombosis too.

Exceptional vascular surgeon
Dr. Riaz spent two mornings in the angioplasty suite at Morristown Medical Center, surgically treating me with thrombolysis, in November, 2014. The diagnosis was extensive left lower extremity DVT. A venogram was performed. There was extensive clotting in the tibial, popliteal, femoral and iliac veins; however, there was a duplicate venous system, free of clots. Clots extended into the iliac vein up into the bifurcation and junction with the cava. The procedure required two separate sessions. Dr. Riaz demonstrated the highest level of professional and surgical skill, persistence, patience, and kindness. From before the contemplated high risk procedure through the days, weeks, months and yes, years after the procedures, both Dr. Riaz and his highly skilled office team and doppler technician, provided the highest level of care. It has taken 7 years to successfully conclude litigation against the orthopedist whose gross negligence almost cost me my life. I thank God for Dr. Riaz.

This Dr. Is horrific. Thought he was going to correct problem, instead took my leg off above the knee. Never mind I had no right leg. But at least it was BELOW the knee. He is nothing more than a butcher. Never came to tell me why. Guess he figured because I was in my late fifties, instead of being bothered, he’d just take it off. He’s ruined my life! No bedside manner at all. Avoid him at all costs!
