Dr. Omid Kohani, MD

The office staff were amazing and the medical staff were tops. Very comfortable and caring team. I couldn’t recommend Dr Konami and his team any higher. They are the best.

I was admitted through the ER as a patient at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset for several weeks the end of November 2020 due to an overwhelming systemic bacterial infection. Needless to say I was in poor health. Dr. Kohani was the cardiologist following my care and progress. He realized I was having neurological problems due to the infection and took the time to go over my treatment plan from a cardiology standpoint. He made rounds daily (yes even when COVID-19 was very active). He answered my questions and made sure that I was kept abreast on everything that was being done. Of all the physicians/surgeons who attended to me during that seven-week stay, I remember Dr. Kohani’s care and compassion for me. It was at a time when I was most vulnerable and Dr. Kohani was a beacon of safety for me. I was on a heart monitor for many weeks and was grateful Dr. Kohani was my cardiologist.

I can’t describe my frustration towards Dr.Kohani. First visit was good; nice staff; clean office; I had echo and blood test; talk to Dr.kohani for 50 seconds; asked me to come back for heart monitor and stress test. Back again for my 3rd visit. I’m healthy; young and in a great shape; working out everyday; playing martial art etc; I was running for 10 minutes; he stopped my test while he was texting on his phone; he mentioned that my blood pressure dropped to 92 which is normal for my body. Asked me to have a angiography test; I mentioned angiography is basically a surgical procedure; why I have to take it; he definitely had no clue; I said I wouldn’t take it. I asked what happened to my blood test; heart monitor test; echo etc; Agian no answer. had heart pain for 3/4 days; called his office; lady was really nice and connected me to Dr. Kohani; I asked him I just call to see what’s my blood & other test results; he said “I already told you(with an attitude)& hanged up on me.

I met Dr. Kohani when I was admitted to LIJ several months ago. He is very knowledgeable, personable and professional, answered all my questions, and comforted me during a very difficult time. Great bedside manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a cardiologist. Office staff is excellent as well!

Dr Kohani is an absolute gentleman. He is kind, caring, thorough and compassionate. Always takes his time with me and answers all of my questions and concerns., he's never rushed me out. His office is beautiful, ultra modern, and conveniently located on the "Miracle Mile" with parking. I would highly recommend Dr. Kohani to anyone looking for a fantastic cardiologist. He has a great staff too! His office manger Gabby is always very helpful.

Lost all my records causing me hardship and time and money sees the patient all of two minutes then hands you off to an assistant of some kind no bedside manner

Dr Kohani is very easy to speak to and shows true concern. I am very pleased to have him as my doctor.
