Dr. Omotayo Onanuga, MD

I cannot recommend Dr Onanuga strongly enough. For more than 30 years I have struggled with debilitating depression, anxiety, and adult attention deficit, but it wasn’t until I met him that I was able to find a reliable, enduring plan of care. He is genuinely sincere, kind, empathetic, caring, honest, and he listens. Still, in addition to the skills already mentioned, to me personally the most important character trait he exhibits is his compassion. Even when he correctly needed to admonish me, I have never felt he had anything less than my best interest at heart. Over the course of my illness I have had to change doctors for various reasons (moving, retirement, etc.) and without hesitation I would place Dr. Onanuga at the top of every metric. My career was in healthcare administration, so I know a lot of physicians and Dr. Onanuga is the first one I would choose. My final thought is this: if a patient takes the time to get to know Dr. Onanuga not only will they be glad they did, the

I feel compelled to praise Dr Onanuga for the amazing doctor that he is. I am forever grateful to the person who recommended him to me. His kindness was so evident and I felt at ease talking with him. Just to mention a few of his great qualities and character traits. He listens intently and has empathy for the difficulties I may have. He askes questions that are directly relevant to my concerns and then using his vast knowledge of mental health, he diagnosed me and it was right on! He has improved the quality of my life tremendously. I am a happier more well adjusted person. A big change from sad and confused person I was when I first went to see him! His staff is friendly and polite, and last but not least his education, training and experience is most impressive! The staff are very kind

I've been seeing Dr. Onanuga for over a year and I've had a very positive experience. I have had issues with consistancy involving the front office. I've been billed incorrect and sometimes I receive remember calls but not always. I've changed pharmacies and had to tell them multiple times. And I have requested my medical records and have not received them. But I've been in and out of mental institution for over 15 years and I feel like he was the first psychiatrist that listened to me.

Dr O has an incredible knack for getting to the real crux of a problem, treating it appropriately and empowering his patients feel like they are able to take charge of their own psychiatric well-being

I've only been to one appointment, but it's been more than a week now and I still haven't managed to get my prescriptions the psychiatrist was going to send to my pharmacy. I've called over 5 times, with either no answer or being told there's no doctor in the office. I'm lucky that I have some medication left, because many others aren't going to be as lucky and will need the medication sent very soon after their appointment.

He seems to really care about my son's well being. He is always polite and patient with us. The office staff has always been pleasant to me.

My first visit I had to wait over an hour and a half and he hadn't even shown up to the office yet. 2nd visit he gave me two medications to take that are not allowed to be taken together (I had the sense of mind to call a pharmacist and ask before taking them). Then, I called and left a message and after a week and a half I had not received a call back from the doctor or anybody in the office. Don't waste your time or money. Getting in is easy because he has no patients!!!! Staff is lazy!!
