Unprofessional and Rude
I visited Dr Chava for a routine physical as a new patient. While there I had brought up to her concerns I had regarding my mental state. Specifically experiencing deep depression. I told her I've felt like this before and wanted to know if I could be prescribed medication to help. A week later, my insurance requested I have paperwork filled confirming the medication I was on and why. This was required for the insurance to approve my partner staying home with me, while protecting his job, on the days I was experiencing waves of suicidal thoughts. I inquired about an apt to see her in case she had any questions and was told it wasn't necessary. After several calls, emails and follow ups she spoke to me. She questioned why the paperwork was not provided to her on my initial visit, scolded me for not having the financial means to afford a therapist. Told me that the dosage prescribed wasn't enough and that I should have made an apt and that she was too busy and had another patient.
