I've seen Dr. Pamela Benitez for post surgery checkups since 2018. She is an amazing surgeon (Invisible scar), an empathetic and knowledgable doctor/person. She treats in a comprehensive medical whole body fashion. She listens and responds to every concern I have. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Wonderful surgeon...highly recommend. Office staff is on top of things as well. Dr. Benitez is warm and always returns my calls if I have any concerns or questions. She has made me feel comfortable during our visits and I will continue in her care for years to come.

In 2018, I was referred to Dr. Benitez after an abnormal breast biopsy. I found her to be exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. However, the clerical staff she has on-board leaves a lot to be desired. They are very incompetent with minimal medical knowledge and skills. They tried to give me an appointment four months out after I developed a new breast lump. Additionally, her practice appears to be a one-woman practice. Dr. Benitez has no back-up support from fellow colleagues which can be problematic. She will quickly schedule you for surgery, but the wait time for an office appointment is difficult and the wait in her office is challenging with many patients scheduled during her “office days”. It also takes a long time for biopsy report results. I think everyone should weigh the benefits of being in a one doctor practice as opposed to seeking a multidisciplinary approach with easy access to quicker testing and quicker test results. It’s a difficult decision.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 after my ultrasound results were sent to Dr. Benitez at Beaumont Hospital. She called me to set up an appt. I asked why, that’s when she said because you have breast cancer. That’s how I found out! I did meet her to get an opinion on treatment plans, but she wouldn’t let me take notes (actually took my pen and pad I had brought out of my hands) and gave me two options but refused to recommend one over the other. Thank God I left and got another opinion

I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer a little over a year ago. It came as a complete shock I was paralyzed with fear hearing the diagnosis. My internist recommended seeing Dr. Benitez. I feel so lucky to have her as my doctor. She is very thorough. She explained each step of the process and was always accessible for any questions I had. She put the best team together for me in Dr. Dilworth and Dr. Margolis. I highly recommend her. She is the best.

If there were negative stars, I would give her a negative 10. She has no concern for her patients. If you have a complication, she will not talk to you and she has NO TRAINED staff available to speak to you. Because of her incompetence, I am now facing additional surgery. Do NOT put your life/health in her hands.....

Had complications from surgery and called her office after hours, nothing but a busy signal. No way to reach her on a Friday night or all weekend long. She did not return call during office hours and had receptionist call me to tell me she'd talk to me at post op visit. Post op visit is 3 weeks after surgery. I have found her to be cold, clueless and arrogant. Run in the other direction.....

I was given a couple names from obgyn, and then more names from people who worked at WBH-Royal Oak MI. Dr. Benitez was always raved about, even from someone working over 100 miles away. I had some suggest I get a second opinion but I new I didn't have to.
