Have yet to meet her but her APRN was excellent. I guess I will meet her before my scheduled procedure. There are not enough docs. Obummercare made certain of that. So, I cannot blame Conners for a failed healthcare system that has nothing to do with her. I am grateful for her APRN, who was open minded, objective, and problem solved.

I’ve been Pam Connors patient for sometime, doctored with her office repeatedly over six months in 2022 and never saw her once, her APRN’s are wonderful, but nothing compares to speaking to the doctor yourself. My condition and explanations got lost in translation. The APRN’s in the office are very good but when a patient requests to speak with her doctor, it should be accommodated. Finally, my condition resulted in emergency surgery. I was critical upon admission. (APRN “K” made the decision that day for my direct admission to the ER, immediate CT Scan and surgical consult, that saved me) I spent 11 days in the hospital, 5 of them in ICU. My condition should never have been allowed to go this far.

I had a 1st colonoscopy with Dr. Connors in 2016 and since then I consider her an excellent professional with a lot of experience; she advised me to have another procedure in 2021. As advised, I started calling her office in July 2021 and this is when my bad experience started with the office scheduler (Rosemary). She told me that I would not be able to see Dr. Connors and I had to see one APRN unless I waited until Jan'22. By the end of last year, Rosemary was able to get an appointment with Dr. Connors for Jan 11th. Around December, Rosemary called me again saying that the visit on Jan 11th had to be postponed until Jan 25th. Around Jan 18th, Rosemary called me again saying that the visit had to be with an APRN. As I didn't accept this, I canceled the visit and the colonoscopy too. This was a very bad experience for me, I see it as very unprofessional and disrespectful to the patient. Fortunately, we have other excellent professionals in the area.

Office is a mess. Practitioners seem to only last there a couple of years before a new NP comes in and leaves shortly thereafter. Seems like they’ve gone through at least 6 providers in the last 2 years. Doctor is never in the office and you can’t get an appointment with her. You can constantly hear the staff yelling at each other or at patients! Very unprofessional environment and constantly short staffed. They can’t seem to get any workers to stay there longer then 6 months which speaks volumes about a practice or possibly how the staff are treated. Phonecalls back are extremely delayed (if you ever get a call back at all). I could not recommend this place to anyone.

Typical NE doctors office administration policies. I pay a specialist copay for insurance to see the nurse practitioner. You can rely on them to bring you back for one more visit to tell you goodbye, with no course of action/suggestion for issues unresolved. The staff is very kind and the office is nice. I spent numerous visits, hundreds of dollars and procedures where the dr's just passed off my symptoms.

Dr. Connors has a very good listening skills to her patients that makes her a very thorough doctor with regards to diagnosis and treatment . Very compassionate , caring and has excellent bedside manners that is hard to find nowadays! She got the education, skill and attitude of an excellent gastro in Westerly .She helped me tremendously with right diagnosis and medication and having endoscopy 2 days prior to my run in Washington half marathon 2018 . The best part is finishing a race pain free

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Connors?
Dr. Connors was arrogant and condescending. Her staff, though polite to me, seemed afraid of her. She did not listen to any symptoms or history from me or my referring physician and just ordered up a laundry list of lab tests, possibly a standardized routine. Her diagnosis was based on one test widely known in the profession for false results, and her subsequent treatment almost put me into the emergency room.

Pam has personality. She genuinely cares about her patients. This is a lost trait in both the medical and dental fields today. At most offices these days I feel like just a number, or a cow being processed for $$$$$. Her staff is excellent, again not the case at most other offices.
