Judgemental and wrong
This is years after the fact, but I saw her when I was a teenager and she went off on me for 'blaming other people' when I was being abused. I have lasting trauma now as an adult and she didn't take her time to listen or understand my situation, and spoke in very harsh ways to what was essentially a child. It's been a decade and I'm still pretty disgusted and I don't think anyone should be spoken to that way, nevermind children or adolescents.

Parkavi’s arrogance hinders her ability to listen and treat patients effectively. She is so focused on wanting to be right, she has much difficulty taking in information that contradicts her views. Little empathy for patients and parents. She just doesn’t get it and has no insight to that fact. Avoid if an option for you.

Our family has been using Dr. Chellappa’s services for almost three years. Throughout our time, she has shown to be a caring professional, who values the mental health of her patients. For us, she has worked hard to find the minimum amount of prescription medication required, to achieve a functional balance. Overall, she does not over medicate and, more importantly, is willing to work and address parent’s medicinal concerns.

Great doctor who takes time to review your health problems. She took care of my child as if her own and has good bed side manners. I would recommend her to any one who has child with autism or any other mental health issues.

Dr. Chelappa is socially inept and barely understands psychology. She simply collects data from patients and judges them harshly through lack of self-control over her body language. She will weigh you and judge you for gaining weight. Strongly do not recommend her services if you actually care about your mental health.
