Dr. Parth Patel, MD

A truly out of the ordinary caring physician, and unlike any other I have ever been treated by. He is one of only two physicians in So. California to offer the i-Tind procedure for BPH. I located Dr. Patel via the website information, called his office and within several days he had set up a video visit to save me the trip to UCLA in Santa Monica. This was a physician that actually accommodated me rather than vice versa!! I had a complete pre-surgical video visit May 19th without the need to drive from San Diego to Santa Monica which is a traffic and nerve jarring nightmare. Dr. Patel had his assistant work with Scripps in San Diego to get the necessary clearances from my Primary Care Doc. On June 15 Dr. Patel performed the i-Tind procedure. Dr. Patel removed the device in an office visit 6 days later at UCLA. He went out of his way to "accommodate" me, communicate with me, and could not have been more down to earth and simply human. My single regret, too few characters left.

From our first meeting, Dr. Patel expressed his enthusiasm for the effectiveness of the HoLEP procedure he was advocating. It was more than comforting that he also was aware of me as a person. His kindness every step of the way and follow-up afterwards bore out this impression I feel lucky to have him s as my surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Patel!

On December 25th I was unable to urinate and my wife took me to the ER. They told me to see my urologist Dr. Mills and he referred me to the specialist, Dr. Patel for an enlarged prostate. Dr. Patel explained the procedure to me and we agreed to remove part of my prostate which was necessary for me to urinate properly. I felt confident that everything would be okay. The procedure was successful and I was able to go back to my normal life. Dr. Patel gave me a better quality of life. My wife and I are very happy with the results. Dr. Patel followed up with me a week after surgery and a month later. It’s been four weeks since my surgery and I highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone with that has prostate problems. I’m very thankful for my doctors and nurses. Thank you very much Dr. Patel.

When I came to Dr. Patel I had already tried all the prostate drugs and was having to get up about every hour to go to the restroom at night. During the day I was constantly looking for restrooms. At our first meeting Dr. Patel explained what was most likely happening, pending tests to confirm and gave me a link to his website to carefully review the surgical options. After the test Dr. Patel went over my options and we agreed on a HOLEP procedure. Dr. Patel literally wheeled me into the operating room and skillfully completed the procedure. Dr. Patel has a calmness and professionalism you want in your surgeon. He called my wife and let her know how the surgery went after. Currently I am 7 weeks post-op, this has been a life changing event. I am sleeping 4 hours without interruption and with time Dr. Patel has said this will most likely improve even more. I feel lucky to have had him as my surgeon.

My 19 year old son and I needed to visit a urologist following our physicals. So as it turns out we were able to schedule them the same day - stacked. Both of our experiences were terrific. Dr.Patel & also to included his staff are super professional but also personable. He walked me through having the recommended ureteroscopy procedure. I returned for that and was pleasantly surprised how what could have been both emotional and physical discomfort was quite the opposite. Dr.Patel and his Physical Assistant walked me through every step and what to expect. He actually showed me his findings as he examined me. It was both fascinating and informative. Afterwards, Dr.Patel went over his findings once again and offered solutions should any further developments present themselves. I left the office for the second time feeling like I was in perhaps the best care. I went on to actually recommend him to my wife, family members and co-workers alike. As for my son, He too said he was happy.
