Dr. Parul Patel, MD

This doctor is careless. She prescribed my husband a medication (suboxone) just simply because he wanted it. She is allowing him to take this opiate as an antidepressant. My husband is an addict who was clean and sober for 11 years. I had a surgery and someone gave me a few suboxone. I had my own pain meds and wasn't taking the suboxone, I intended to toss it. My hubby found out and took it, half of an 8mg jacked him up. He also took like 5 of my pain meds over 2 days... this caused him a triggering event that made him go to Dr Patel to ask for suboxone. She should have evaluated the situation and sent him to a specialist...instead she has him on 8mg suboxone 3x per day!! She is ruining my marriage and my family because she failed to handle him properly. She is allowing him to use the suboxone as an antidepressant and if she had really done this right she could have had him on a treatment path with non opiate meds, and therapy.

So much to say, little room to type? She is not interested in medical history from patient. Did not order proper test for Urinary infection even after I told her I had a history of Kidney and bladder Infections. Talks down to me every time I am there, Has never once greeted me "Hello". For 6+ Months I have complained now after Bladder problem, that I have pain in my stomach. Sick for 3 weeks with horrible cold that led to infection, she told me over the counter. Left her office and spent 2 days
