Avoid Dr. Afshar. First tele-appointment I had with her lasted about 1 1/2 minutes. She would not listen to me and just prescribed drugs which didn’t work. Second appointment also lasted about 2 minutes and more ineffective drugs. I do not believe she cares about her patients and her end goal is to get home early. I switched to a nurse practitioner in the same office and was listened too and prescribed new medication which works!!! STAY AWAY FROM DR AFSHAR!!!

dr AFSHAR is the epitome of a bad/jaded doctor. I am a new patient and went to see dr afshar. I sat with her for TEN minutes and within those ten minutes .... Here’s what happened: she asked me my nationality, I said I’m Korean. She said Koreans are very good at math. She hears about it all the time, all over the news. She told me I must be great at math. (this doc is making this comment as a mental health professional) Then, after asking me a few questions, she raises my dosage, letting me know that my current dosage of 5mg 3 times a day is for “6 year olds, way too small”. And then i ask if that is the end of our visit. She says yes. I let her know at this point that I am dissatisfied with her service and would like a refund. She asks me what more I’d like to talk about? And that she WILL up my refills to 3 months. This doc has no intention of helping people but only adding to the statistic of pill popping adults because it is so accessible from these crooked doctors like her

RUN! Like as fast as you possibly can! She asked questions and would cut me off when she heard a "buzz word" in my response. Sometimes that buzz word was my first word. Within 5 minutes and multiple unrelating questions she wanted to put me on Wellbutrin, I had JUST TOLD HER IT MADE ME FEEL EMPTY AND WORTHLESS when I was on it 8 years ago. She wasn't even listening. She accused me of being bi-polar for asking if she was listening. I have PTSD from an accident that left me disabled, I’m not bipol

Waste of time and money. Dr. Afshar didn't even address my concerns or questions. She didn't let me even talk about my symptoms or ask about them, but talked about something else, demanded if I wanted medication or not, didn't explain what it is or what it's for, and for a diagnosis I don't have. She asked me "How have you been?" And it was my first time there. She asked me questions repeatedly, showing me she's not even listening in the first place. She has her own agenda. AVOID HER.

Do not take your child to Dr. Afshar for ADHD. My 7 year old has gone to her 4 months...once each month to get a prescription. She sits at her desk with her back to me and all she says is he needs to play the drums and soccer and get a dog. I tried to talk to her today at my son is has been having severe anxiety about going to school but not at home. She wouldn't even talk to me she just had the front desk write him a not and gave him a prescription! The meeting was 2 minutes!

Very impersonal, will only write a perscription for one month at a time to force you to come back each month. She has no bedside manner whatsoever.

I honestly don't know how she is still practicing. She is so incompetent, unorganized and careless towards her patients well being. All she wants to do is to write a prescription and send you out the door. She asks you to bring in a list of medications with you every time you visit because she doesn't have a system to track it. What is this? The 18th century??? Some patients are really sick to even remember what they had for breakfast that day, let alone remembering the name of their medications

AWFUL! Avoid this Doctor at all costs! She won't listen to you, but tell you (If you are a Woman) that you need to be Married or in a Relationship to be truly happy. She won't help you if you are caught off guard, and need a refill (I just moved out of state & TOLD Dr. Afshar when I was MOVING. I got Yes, yes, you move and find nice husband. OK?) my refill was DENIED and I was told to come in!! I'm 450 MILES AWAY! W/O Zanex I will go into a painful withdrawal that could kill a person.
