She delivered my first baby. I called twice and she basically brushed me off and said not to come in until I was in the worst pain I’ve ever been in. The 2nd time I called she didn’t call me back. Thank God we just decided to drive to the hospital. He came very fast (like 15 mins after we got to the hospital) and she did not even ask me if I wanted something for the pain. She just went ahead and was going to inject something. I saw the needle and said no. And my husband also had to tell her no before she put it down. Then after I had given birth and she was stitching me up, she annoyingly asked if it was ok to give something now. I just felt it wasn’t a great experience especially being my first birth. Since I’ve had another baby not at her practice. The experience was much better.

Suggestion
The doctor has a great sense of humor/bedside manner. However every appointment was rushed which was one reason I found a new doctor. I had a procedure done which was extremely painful. Being put to sleep should have been recommended. Also, telling patients they can come every 3 to 5 years benefits insurance companies. It does not matter if this is a new recommendedation, frequent checkups are how concerns/ problems are found. It's vital to be proactive rather than reactive. I am sharing this hoping it will help improve experiences in the future.
