Parents MUST take a second opinion before you put your child in any medicine. Here is our story- our 9 year daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy by Dr.Patricia Mireles after the in house EEG and prescribed Tegretol. We were so fortunate that we went for a second opinion and found she do not have any epilepsy. The side effects of these medicines are so strong and was not able for our daughter to handle. I would say both doctor and the facility has got responsibility on the wrong diagnosis.

I have always been happy with Dr. Mireles' treatment of my kids. While she talks quickly, she does ask questions about their life - not just medical questions. She's friendly and willing to help us find the right treatment plan for each child.

This doctor was very thorough and seemed to be more familiar with current research and treatments for migraines than most other doctors we have seen. She took a lot of time with my child and did not try to push a lot of medication but offered other solutions as well. She was kind and patient and I feel confident she will help us with my child's condition.
