Dr. Patricia Samuelson, MD

Dr. Samuelson had been my PCP since 2001 and I had followed her to 3 different medical groups. She diagnosed me with Multiple Sclerosis when I only thought that I was having migraine headaches. Within one month an MRI and spinal tap confirmed her diagnosis. She has helped me navigate the multitude of my ongoing illnesses, treatments and coordinated with all of my 7 specialists (2 of which are at UCSF). She is extremely smart, skilled and appreciates proactive patients. She is NOT condescending to her patients. She is kindhearted. She enjoys practicing medicine for POC and low income folx. Having had her as part of my medical team for over 20 years improved the quality of my life. She is a trusted and respected physician to the Sacramento community; among patients and her medical colleagues and students alike. She also has hospital visitation rights at Sutter and Dignity. I live out of Sac County now, and if my insurance contracted with her I would travel and keep her as my PCP.

Dr. Samuelson is an amazing doctor and person. This amazing woman literally saved my life on the very first day that I met her. She diagnosed me and told me something was terribly wrong with me and had my wife take me to the emergency room. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was told I wouldn't have lived for another 2 months if they wouldn't have found it and removed it. I cannot say enough words to tell people how great of a person and doctor that she is!

Talk about a hidden gem, working with medi-Cal recipients? When I had top notch health coverage through my job (prior job) I never found a doctor as good as Patricia Samuelson! She is SO knowledgeable & down to earth. She doesn't dismiss or rush you. I look forward to seeing her each & every time. :D

She is friendly, listens to your needs, through, caring. She is a wonderful person and Physician.

I REALLY like Dr. Samuelson. She listens intently when I'm explaining my concerns, and we work together to find the best and most effective treatment for me. She makes me comfortable, and I appreciate her care and concern. She's very nurturing and down to Earth. She accepts me in all my failing humanity. She's great! Try her for yourself.
