My Husband was anxious about having mohs surgery on his lip. Dr. Ellison was super patient and answered all our questions. Got all of the squamous on the first attempt. Everyone in office was super helpful and kind. We were particularly impressed with the number of people in the waiting room and how Dr. still did not seem to be in a rush to get us in and out. By the time my husbands procedure was done, waiting room was empty. They are obviously efficient and very good at what they do.

Painless and Scarless
Dr. Ellison has a remarkably calming bedside manner. Within 6 weeks, the scar on my first procedure was invisible. I've had two more Mohs procedures since, and I actually looked forward to them. If he ever moves over to Plastic Surgery, I want to be on his list. Whatever he is doing with his own skin is working - I guessed his age at 10 years younger than he actually is.

Outstanding Doctor
Aloha I was diagnosed with Basil Cell cancer of the right ear, and was referred to Doctor Patrick Ellison. We were greeted at Mohs Micrographic Surgery with a warm reception from Mariah, who made the process of checking in super easy. The facility is immaculate, warm and very welcoming. Assistant’s Rizza, Diane and Mariah were absolutely amazing. Each person we met was warm, caring, professional and knowledgeable. We only waited five minutes before being called by Diane, who greeted us and guided us to the examine room. Once in the examine room we were greeted by Rizza, assistant to Doctor Ellison. Within a couple of minutes Doctor Ellison entered the exam room and explained the process. He was very clear and articulate. Words cannot express what a great doctor he is. Without question, Doctor Ellison is absolutely a Gold Star doctor. His surgical skills in removing my cancer and stitching me up were painless. Amazing doctor

I had squamous cell carcinoma under the finger nail bed. Hand surgeon wanted to amputate. I went to Dr Ellison asking if he could help me, clear the cancer and possibly save my finger. He was successful. He took time to listen to my concerns. He explained the process that would follow. He is a very caring, patient and experienced doctor. He is fellowship trained which is very important. I am very grateful to have him as my surgeon. Everything explained so I never had any questions. Thank you Dr Ellison for your dedication to your patients. Also a big Thank You to the staff. All professional, caring and kind people. You can’t ask for anything more.

I had a basal cell carcinoma removed, very near to my eye, and could not have been more grateful for Dr. Ellison’s MOHS surgery expertise at this time. He also referred me to a wonderful ocular surgeon for the specialized repair the following day. It was my first time dealing with any Derm issue and Dr. Ellison’s calming, confident manner and excellent communication skills, together with his caring staff were just the support I needed. Mahalo all.

I am 40 years old and had basal cell skin cancer in my nose 10 years ago. Recently a small bump came back in the same spot and it was back to carving block for my nose. I live on Maui and I flew over to see Dr. Ellison and I am really glad I did. The hole that was carved out was pretty big and he did a wonderful job putting my face back together. All of the staff was kind and felt very experienced. I am not really sure how else to review a doctor except to say if I am unlucky enough to find more skin cancer I will always go out of my way to go see Dr. Ellison.

9/4/2020 I had Basal cell carcinoma Mohs surgery on my nose yesterday with Dr. Ellison. Him and his staff were very professional, friendly and reassuring. He was very thorough and his staff was great. As stressful as the whole procedure can be, Dr. Ellison was wonderful and I really felt more relaxed than I am at most doctors appointment and I was there to have skin cancer removed so that's saying a lot. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs his expertise.

Ofice staff welcoming. insurance/financial responsibility very clearly explained. I as the patient am ultimately responsible for the bill. Office does submit claims to insurance. The surgical process does take time and the medical assistants checked every 10 mins whether I was comfortable, needed water, etc. Dr Ellison in detail explains what he is going to do. He readily and cheerfully answered my many questions. Am very, very pleased with my experience at his office . RayT. July2020

Dr. Ellison was a great doctor to have. He was very polite, calm, and understanding. I had basal cell carcinoma near my eye/on the side of my nose and because of the delicate nature of the eye area, Dr. Ellison did not perform the closure on my wound. He actually removed the cancer and the following day I visited the ocular plastic surgeon across the street. Dr. Ellison said that this would be in my best interest because the tear duct and lacrimal system could be affected by the skin cancer, and he wanted me to be in good hands. I am appreciative of his expertise. One year later, I am skin cancer free. I am so thankful!

I had Mohs surgery for a basal cell carcinoma on my nose. Dr Ellison explained the procedure and answered all my questions thoroughly. His explanations and the additional information found on his website and the brochures given to me eased many of my concerns. The surgery went well and I am on my way to a full recovery with minimal scarring.

Dr. Ellison is the best! He's caring, professional & managed to give me minimal scarring for a very difficult basal cell right next to a former surgery sight. When he tried to close up my skin broke off in flakes because of its fragility & because the area was close to the bone & very tight. He came up with another way of stitching it & it healed well. My dermatologist was suprised. She said that looking at the photos he sent of te surgery sight she thought it would never heal.Thank you Dr.!

A least six stars out of five. While doing Mohs surgery of my carcinoma, Dr. Ellison noticed other areas of concern. He took into account that I was travelling from the big island, and somehow scheduled all the following into a single day. - squamous cell – in a single Mohs treatment - four biopsies - basal cell – in just two treatments - reconstructive surgery on the basal cell site I’ve never heard of a medical practitioner who came close. He and his staff are all kind, caring pros.

I spent 16 hours under the knife for surgery on my skin cancer on the shoulder, wrist and nose. Thought I was going to come back with half a nose but after a month of healing I look like before. Very little scaring at all. The staff was wonderful also. I highly recommend Dr Ellison.

Dr. Ellison is an extremely talented dermatologist. He made the process of having Mohs surgery on a melanoma much more pleasant than I had expected. The best part is the scar from the surgery has healed incredibly well due to his skill. I would recommend him to anyone.
