Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience
I recently visited Dr. Foss and was extremely disappointed with the unprofessional behavior and lack of respect for my medical decisions. I informed the doctor that I did not want a tetanus shot due to my concerns about possible side effects, including the risk of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). Rather than having a constructive conversation, Dr. Foss dismissed my concerns and told me that 'if I stepped on a rusty nail, I could end up in the emergency room.'While I understand the importance of preventing tetanus, I believe the risk of GBS is a more significant concern in my case. However, my perspective was completely disregarded. As a patient, I expect my doctor to respect my decisions regarding what I will and will not allow into my body, not to question my concerns as if they affect the general health of the community.If you're seeking a doctor who values patient autonomy and approaches care with understanding, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
