Sr Madden is the best Dr , he has helped me w a lot of medical illnesses, which I'm diagnosed w many , I'm 51 years old I have a lot of Drs and Dr Madden I'd to notch. Then w in a month ago I was told he's not in practice anymore I'm lost w word's , what happened w out any notices, Dr Madden takes his time w his patients discuss everything to the tee, explains when u don't understand, discuss what the medicine is and what is for and does, I'm very confused and upset what happened and what's is going on now,A Dr like Dr Madden is extremely hard to replace, he is very smart and knows what he knowledgeable about me diagnosis .

Extremely bright (manic?) doctor. He had me over medicated and even wrote RX when test show negative. I've since found a terrific Neuro MD who has helped me understand what's going on with my body and treated my symptoms appropriately.

I felt so hopeful going to a neurologist, but I was truly disappointed. Dr. Madden is old school and prescribed me tons of medication to prevent my chronic migraine, non helped. I returned to my regular doctor and he put me on current medications which has helped. I never felt comfortable with Dr. Madden, I felt ridiculed and not listened to. I do not recommend Dr. Madden.

I trust Dr. Madden completely! I have cerebral palsy & other chronic conditions, his patient since 2013 when he came to Sarasota. He trained at Albany Medical Center then worked with the best hospitals & colleagues in Boston. He never hesitated to work with me, though older people with CP often have complicated presentations. He's accurately diagnosed my uncommon & elusive complaints. His treatment is effective & innovative, grounded in cutting-edge research & practice. He's brilliant yet excruciatingly humble. His is a busy single practice office: a patient may wait an hour but it's well worth it as he spends all the time needed with each & every one. He he's skipped lunch to see me. I was recently hospitalized; he wasn't on my formal medical team but visited every day, often in late evening after the office & rounds. Medicine is science & art. He embodies a doctors' creed: Do no harm, treat all with dignity & compassion. Note he's moved: 435 Commercial Court, Ste. 201 Venice, FL

I moved to Fl. 2 years ago. Prior to the move I had the same neurologist since my brain stem stroke at age 42. I’ve had other strokes since then, and my difficulties were always attributed to them. My first visit with Dr. Madden he asked if I’d been tested for Myasthenia Gravis, noticing the droop of my right eye. Since that visit, his suspicion was confirmed and I’m now receiving IVIG infusions every 28 days and take 240 mg.’s of pyridostigm daily. I’m regaining strength in my arms and legs, my balance is better and I’m looking forward to dancing at my Grandson’s wedding. Dr. Madden said I probably had this autoimmune disease since my 40’s. He’s brilliant, kind, compassionate and answers every question or concern I have. He’s truly a blessing in my life!!

Dr.Madden always listened and kept an open mind, unlike so many neurologists I have met over the years. I appreciated feeling like he cared enough to not only listen to me but to understand me as well. In that, he was able to diagnose and treat me as a whole person, not just parts.

I have been to several neurologists and Dr. Madden has by far helped me the most. He is thorough and an “out of the box” thinker. I’m so happy my pain medicine doctor referred me to him!

I don’t recommend having Dr. Madden perform an EMG test on you. I did and it was very painful. A month later I had an EMG test done by another neurologist and I experienced no pain at all.

Nice person .Office very disorganized. Poor followup. Last appointment waited over an hour. Forgot I was there. No one else was in the waiting room so I just left. They never called me afterwards. Saw him at Cattleridge office also but they forgot my records. Would never go back.
