this guy is ALL business. He is a Great technician and teacher. He explained what had to be done and he did what he said he was going to do and did it well. I feel blessed to have been referred to Dr Chomiak. I have been advised that he is no longer associated with First Physicians Group and I hope that he has not left the area. He is a genuine life saver.

I am a new patient of Dr Chomiak , for follow up on lung nodule, was very anxious and nervous for my first visit and was amazed how he immediately came into the room , made me totally feel at ease , so very personable , and took time to explain things and let me ask anything I needed to! I picked him because of his expertise and training in minimally invasive surgeries and procedures , but with those credentials sometimes we don’t get the personable communication skills , and his are excellent ! Sarasota is fortunate to have Dr Chomiak

Please, please please look elsewhere, this guy is major conspiracy nut. He just did a lobectomy on me 1/25/21. This was an extremely painful procedure. But the worst part of it, was the jerk decided to remove medications I have been taking for years this sent me into major life threatening withdrawal symptoms. I just lived through a living hell in Sarasota Memorial. I inquired about a vaccine, he implied the regular flu shot would protect me, as it's the same thing as covid, (Can you say conspiracy nut, fake news) I can't believe that an educated physician in this day and age is so ignorant.

Never had surgery before. Dr Chomiak removed a third of my right lung due to cancer. I was up and walking immediately and within a couple of days was back taking long walks with my dogs and back to the gym in three to four weeks. I have no one to compare, but I can’t imagine any doctor being more skilled or caring with patients than Dr Chomiak. I am very lucky to have him for my doctor.

I want to highly recommend Dr. Paul Chomiak. He is one of the best in his field and surrounds himself with staff that excel in their fields. He displays professionalism as well as the ability to make your day with his humor which is a gift to his patients in their time of need. Sarasota Memorial Hospital is indeed one of the best places for surgery but when you add the hospital and the surgeon together, you cannot go wrong in placing your life in their hands.

I was involved in a severe car accident that required Dr Chomiak's exceptional technical skills to perform an operation to rebuild my left chest wall, insertion of a pericardial drain into my pericardium, which if left untreated potentially could lead to a cardiac tamponade and my imment death. Rebuilding my chest wall involved plating six multiple rib fractures. The surgery took five hours to perform and in my opinion Dr Chomiak's surgical knowledge and exceptional skill saved my life.
