My interactions with all staff and Dr. Critelli were amazing. From the first phone contact with the Nurse, Kourtnie, to the follow-ups with messages in the portal, she has been phenominal! I deal with anxiety and severe medical phobia. She talked to me when scheduling my appointment and I felt much more at ease. When I arrived, all the staff were great and Dr. Critelli was very informative, interactive and postive in answering all my questions, even when he didn't quite agree with a few of my thoughts. He was very positive and supportive in explaining why he thought some things might not work the way I thought which impressed me greatly. I don't want a doctor that will just agree with my every thought to just appease me. He did take what I said into consideration though and his responses were NOT condensending in any way. I have been very pleased with all of my interactions with this office and have a surgery coming up in a couple of weeks. I will not only be going back, I have referred Dr. Critella to many others already and I also highly recommend them to anyone reading reviews here!

Extremely Talented and Knowledgeable
Dr. Critelli repaired 2 rare and complex Morel-Lavallee (degloved) crush injuries via 2 surgeries and other procedures. He was brilliant in his diagnosis and surgical techniques and complex aftercare. He is a rare talent among plastic trauma surgeons, and his staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Terrible experience.
Dr Critelli was recommended to remove a very large tumor and use a skin graft to help with healing. Surgery seemed to go fine but the wound vac that he used had a container that he said would last a week but lasted less than a day. Ended up in the emergency room the next day because the wound vac stopped working. Spent all day in the emergency room and then he finally agreed to see me around 6 pm. He removed the wound vac and told my wife to just change the dressing every day and then walked out of the room. At least his nurse was helpful and tried to find the specialty items needed to care for this huge crater in my arm. He might be good for plastic surgery but for anything else I would definitely go elsewhere! I felt like he thought my surgery was an imposition and not really worthy of his skills.

Masectomy and reconstruction
Dr. Critelli did my mastectomy and start of reconstruction with Dr. Meritt. Both have been great and the nurses have been amazing. During one of my expander fills he even talked to my daughters. His nurses have been amazing and so sweet. I still have a final surgery but so far I couldn't ask for better.

He gave me filler under my eyes and the bruising was severe/double black eyes. I've had filler many times and 'Never' had results like this before. After 23 weeks, I still have discoloration and a weird droop under my left eye. My right eye has discolration but shape is fine. What made it worse is when i went back to discuss with him he acted as if it was normal. Said..."well, since 'you' bruise so bad.... " I don't bruise bad, it was only this time!
