Very personable, surgery went well.
Dr Crook was recommended to me from a previous Dr within the same practice that was retiring. I’ve been pleased with how my treatment went, eventually had surgery and it’s gone better than I expected! Would definitely recommend others for the same issue I had.

I didn't need surgery
Dr. Crook was very good. He was honest to tell me surgery on my shoulder would likely fail and the bennifit would not out way the trouble. He saved me from future pain and hassle.

Great care
TOA’s One City office is easy to navigate with free covered parking. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr Crook was able to see me quickly after I had a knee injury. He was pleasant, thorough and explained my injury clearly. I like that they have x-ray and MRI facilities all in the same building. I was examined and had an MRI the same afternoon then returned for the treatment plan the next day. Top recommendation! !

A wonderful experience
I had my right knee replaced on 23 Jul 2024. I was amazed to be able to come home the same day. After a week, I switched to Ibuprofin and only took pain meds before PT. I only needed 8 sessions and was soon walking with no pain and only slight stiffness.

Dr. Crook was the best for my care!
I fell in June 2023 and fractured my shoulder in 4 places. Dr. Crook did shoulder replacement shoulder to repair my shoulder and arm. Dr. Crook was an excellent orthopedic surgeon! I went through PT at TOA last year after my surgery, and the PT went great! My shoulder and arm are doing great! I do not have pain. I had a follow up with Dr. Crook yesterday, and x-rays were taken, and Dr. Crook said the x-rays looked good, and that my shoulder and arm looked great! I would highly recommend Dr. Crook for any orthopedic needs!

My First Broken Bone @ almost 50 years old.
I had my first broken bone at nearly 50 years old, and I couldn't have been in better hands than with Dr. Crook. His meticulous attention to detail and exceptional skill not only ensured a smooth procedure but left me entirely pain-free afterward—something I never imagined possible. The entire staff at TOA went above and beyond; their professionalism and warmth significantly eased my anxiety, making me feel cared for every step of the way.Even though my injury occurred out of state, there was no doubt in my mind that I needed to fly home to Nashville,TN. I had to go to TOA, which would be my first and only choice for surgery. Dr. Crook's reputation preceded him, and my experience exceeded all expectations. The trauma of the accident quickly faded into the background, thanks to the care I received—making me a almost forget it ever happened. If you’re looking for a surgeon who combines unparalleled expertise with a genuinely caring approach, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Crook.

Outstanding care with compassion
Dr. Crook was highly recommended by my Primary Care Provider; and he has not disappointed. No matter how busy the office seems, he does not rush me, as the client, he listens attentively and he meets me where I am to provide deliberately compassionate care, imparting wisdom for solutions specific to my unique care needs. I am thankful he is my orthopedist.

Bone on bone any new treatment?
My visit was very comfortable and educating I found out there is a new procedure for they draw your blood extract the stem cells and reject it into your knees I am going to try this procedure this Friday coming and perhaps will be able to give a review on that the only drawback is that the insurance doesn't cover it I guess since it's a new procedure. Maybe this will get me through till I get on Medicaid and then have a knee replacement the steroid injection in my right knee is helping this time

Appreciative of Dr. crook’s conservative approach
I was recently diagnosed with a torn meniscus. I met with Dr. Crook to discuss my tear and discuss a recovery plan. I appreciated his conservative approach, strengthening and stabilizing my knee, and not suggesting surgery until it’s necessary. He is a thoughtful trustworthy physician.

No follow up/no plan
Dr. Crook saw me on March 22nd 2024 at 2:10 PM. The purpose of my visit was due to a swollen calf muscle which I had injured while hiking. This injury was extremely painful in addition to being unable to walk on it without crutches. The office staff took x-rays of my injured leg prior to Dr. Crook seeing me. Once Dr. Crook came into the examination room he asked about how I injured it and proceeded to exam my calf muscle. Dr. Crook wasn't with me in the exam room for more then 3 to 4 minutes when he suggested for me to get a ultra sound at an off site location which I did. I realize it was towards the end of the day and a Friday afternoon, however, it is now after midnight March 23rd and still have not heard how to proceed with caring for the injury. I am unable to walk on it and cannot sleep due to the constant pain. There has been no follow up whatsoever leaving me believing that the entire visit was useless.
