I have been in the care of Dr. Choi for the past two months for painful upper GI issues. During my consultations he has always taken great care in explaining my condition, recommended treatment plan incl. necessary examinations as well as next steps based on findings. Today, Dr. Choi performed my upper endoscopic examination with local anesthetic. Based on my previous experience with this procedure (also without sedation), I was prepared for discomfort. However, he skillfully completed the procedure, fast, painless and with no discomfort to me at all! After the procedure I had a consultation, received my results and further treatment instructions. Dr. Choi is very friendly, straightforward and treats you as an individual and not just another patient. Beyond that, he was always personally available via phone when I called the clinic with questions that required his input! I feel that I am in great care with Dr. Choi and highly recommend him to other patients for GI concerns!

Unethical Doctor
Please do not risk going to this facility. During my colonoscopy I could feel everything that was happening, I was in extreme pain to the point I was using my hands to try to shove myself off the top of the bed, and begging him to stop, when it was done I realized that in the process of trying to scoot away from him I had even managed to hit my head on something and had a big knot in the middle of my forehead. He continued for way too long with me in pain begging him to stop. Then when he spoke to me afterwards he told me I had 10+ polyps, I asked if they were going to be biopsied, he through his hands up, shrugged his shoulders and said what's the use, why bother?????....I mean isn't the idea of a colonoscopy to prevent colon cancer or to catch it in its early stages??? Needless to say I'm out $1275, I'm left traumatized and wondering if I could have Colon Cancer, and I have no choice but to book another colonoscopy in a few weeks.

Dr. Choi was the worst gastroenterologist I've seen in the 10 years I've had IBD. He rushed to get me out of the office as quickly as possible, and didn't listen to concerns I was having with treatment. I was so frustrated by the lack of care, and never felt like I was taken seriously as I kept getting sicker and sicker. I would not recommend Dr. Choi

Dr. Choi under-medicated me for my colonoscopy and then when I was yelling in pain he suggested I just had a high tolerance instead of helping to reduce the pain. While I was in recovery, I thought I must be the rare case but then had to listen to the very next patient screaming in pain. He also didn't bother to check on me for almost 2 hours after the procedure and was shocked when I left to go eat (I'd been fasting for 36 hours). His staff is excellent but he seems uncaring and arrogant.

I saw Dr Choi yesterday for a consultation and upper endoscopy. The procedure was fine, not painful at all. I was so nervous before, I was in tears, but all the nurses were super nice, calmed me down and gave me the meds I needed. For the procedure. I was aware of it happening, but I guess because of the meds, I didn't feel pain and it went smoothly. I slept for an hour afterwards before getting up to speak to him again. I had a consult both before and after the procedure, before, to make sure

Dr. Choi is the most highly qualified gastrointestinologist to provide such an affordable service and is the only reason we were able to get a colonoscopy which was way overdue. He and his staff are excellent, very informative, and not only does he explain everything out in detail, they actually provide you with ipads in the waiting room with his very easy to understand videos on a variety of digestive health subjects if you want further explanation. He has brought consumerism back to healthcare

Very good experience. Good at explaining options during the consult. After talking to the doctor, I decided to have the colonoscopy without anesthesia to avoid the bad reaction I had in a previous colonoscopy done elsewhere 10 years earlier. Dr. Choi promised it would be quick and it was. The procedure itself took less than 10 minutes. It was painless, except for a few seconds of what felt like stomach cramps as the scope went in. Highly recommended. Friendly staff.
