The best
Dr. Schmidt is the best. He is very thorough and actually reviews your chart. He really listens to what I have to say and takes my experience into consideration. He has never downplayed my illness and he validates my symptoms. I highly recommend him for rheumatology care. I’ve had male providers in the past who were not great listeners but he pleasantly surprises me every appointment.

I came to Dr. Schmidt after being referred by numerous specialists to see a rheumatologist for a variety of issues and psoriatic arthritis workup. Each encounter with Dr. Schmidt was really wonderful, even though my case is very difficult to pinpoint things and he didn't have a lot of answers for me. He was one of the only physicians that I felt actually listened to me and ordered numerous tests to try to nail things down. I appreciate his manner of communication, his calm and friendly demeanor and the skills he possesses. Would highly recommend him.

I am new patient of Dr. Schmidt who needed to reschedule an appointment from April. New date is now November 5th. Very disappointed that cannot get in any earlier accept going on wait list. My Dr. in Des Moines would not do that to me I can assure you. I am almost ready to make the 3 hour drive back to my former Doctor.

We have waited since July 12 th for Dr. Schmidt's office to respond to the faxed referral (which was confirmed by Schmidt's office) from our primary care physician, for an appointment for my wife. If they are not accepting new patients, contrary to what it says here, they could at least acknowledge that and let us know. Very frustrating. Steve Swanson

After having my Rheumatologist for 17 years, he recently relocated outside the Kansas City area. He referred me to Dr. Schmidt, MD. After my appointment, I knew I was in great hands with his care and compassion. I'm blessed to have Dr. Schmidt, MD as my physician for Rheumatology. Thank you!
